Terrelle Pryor is the favorite for Heisman this year. The Buckeyes will probably be in the champ game again this year. How anyone can hate on the only cold weather team to field one of the nations best college football teams year in, year out ...is beyond me. Go Bucks!

If the Buckeyes somehow survive a tough schedule this year to remain unbeaten then Pryor deserves all the hype he'll get for the Heisman. Actually the Bucks have a winning record in BCS games, if this were the Browns, we'd all be all be ecstatic. |

But my argument is just based off the tired "Big 10 is weak" argument and the fact that OSU plays scrimmages all September long where SEC teams are playing against (other) BCS bowl teams by that point. Yes I know the argument is stale - I'm sick of hearing/saying it myself - but them's the breaks. Last edited by Legacy Fan; 09-05-2010 at 10:03 AM. |

| Come on, TBPP, do it right - that's not 1 season. September 2010: Marshall, Miami (FL-finally), Ohio, Eastern Michigan September 2009 Navy (gasp- a Service Academy?) Only beating by 4 points; USC - lost in a year USC sucked; Toledo; Illinois September 2008 Youngstown State, Ohio, USC, Troy (seriously) September 2007 Youngstown State, Akron, Washington, Northwestern September 2006 Northern Illinois, Texas, Cincinnati, PSU September 2005 Miami (OH), Texas, SD State, Iowa Then proceed to head to the National championship every year because they beat a shit Michigan team in November and get trounced by real teams. They finally redeem themselves last year by beating oregon in the Rose Bowl, despite it being Oregon's 1st Bowl appearance ever (probably). (Sorry, I'm not backing down, it's not your fault, but I'm blaming the color commentators from Thursday night. Jim Tressel & Woody fucking Hayes would have called a less biased game). |

Ready? Ok. Apologies to the "new school" membership (we're not even a year-old board yet), but it's pretty well known that I'm a Notre Dame fan to the point where I get stomach aches prior to kick off (just like with the Brownies). They take a ton of heat regarding their schedule (which is why I tossed in the "Service Academy" barb). And yes, I know everyone has cupcakes - that's not the point. The point is that OSU routinely waltzes into national championship games or Rose Bowls (in the last half decade) when all they are required to do is beat a garbage Michigan team each season. But mostly, I'm still burnt up over Thursday night's garbage color commentary. I always pull for Marshall (again, some of the "regulars" know that my grandfather was Marshall's AD that perished in the plane crash in 1970) so I wasn't pleased with that outcome, and it just starts the cakewalk for OSU to get to Pasadena or the title game. |

It is more than just beating Michigan. You also can't hold a Big 10 team in September against them, even if that Big 10 team is not one of the stronger Big 10 teams. Ohio State has no control over the Big 10 schedule. |

And...... Iowa? Wisco? Indiana? Purdue? Competing for the top 10? Have you lost your mind? If you change the premise to "competing for .500" then we can get back into the same conversation. |
