At six feet, eight inches, he is the tallest quarterback drafted in the NFL to date. McGwire was a first-round draft pick (16th overall) of the Seattle Seahawks in 1991 and went on to play for five seasons in the NFL from 1991 to 1995. He played four seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and one season for the Miami Dolphins.

Osweiler and Tyler Bray are really fun to watch: two tall, strong-armed QBs who make ridiculous throws. Neither's got a ton of experience -- Bray's hurt right now, and Osweiler's only started nine games -- but both look like future elite QB prospects. They could compete to be the top guy in 2013.

Former Westlake QB (who transferred out because of Isham) Michael Bercovicci is a freshman QB there who sends in plays. Isham is starting for Louisiana Tech and our WR Nelson Spruce is at Colorado. My son Jack might play juco next year in hopes of transitioning to safety and maybe D1. He passed on all the small school offers at linebacker (I would've gone to Puget Sound... gorgeous) but we have a great Juco nearby and they still want him to play "Rover." Speaking of U of A, where Jack is right now... Nick Foles tonight. Just read an opinion that when the dust clears he'll be considered a better prospect than Gabbert. His 40 isn't good but he's a good athlete and can move around for a big kid. Definite NFL arm and crazy accurate. |
