I happened upon this article and had to laugh because it seems so typical of stimulus programs.

In my experience (I am administering two stimulus funded projects) these funds have not CREATED jobs, but merely preserved existing jobs. The one contractor doing one of our jobs simply kept his guys from being laid off. I'm pretty sure he didn't ADD any employees .

Maybe I missed the point of the program. I thought it was going to create new jobs. Could be I was wrong...

It will be years before we know the full impact of the stimulus money. And even longer before someone can weed through all the bureaucratic stuff. I wonder if it really made a difference except in our national debt.

The stimulus was a joke in that it was for wall for Wall Street and it is Wall Street where politicians get elected.
When they ask for cash they get it.
The middle class gets and always will get the shaft.
As a country we need to produce and manufacture again rather than shifting paper and wealth and playing hocus pocus with derivatives and all that BS.
Some form of public works to rebuild infrastructure should be a priority and it was supposed to be but somehow I guess we don't want to put money into that....go figure,well atleast Goldman Sachs got there's.

From blaming Bush for everything wrong in this country to taking credit for what Bush did, this obviously is a standup President.

I was joking with my wife about a good epitaph for Obama would read something like "Here lies former President Obama whose death can only be blamed on former President Bush. That's right, blame it on Bush!"
