| Trump doing New Hampshire forum in June – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs just want to post this real quick...haven't really given it much thought so don't want to say anything right now |

Tell us how you REALLY feel Veg!!! LOLOL I go back and forth on him, really. On the one hand I think a reasonably successful business man might be just what the oval office needs. Someone who has established success somewhere OTHER than politics. However, Trump makes me think that he's like the "neuveau riche" in some 200 year old New England Country Club where the likes of the DuPonts and Vanderbilts kinda snub their noses at him. In other words...irritating. |

I watched his Comedy Central Roast last night. Marlee Matlin (deaf actress) absolutely killed on stage. Complete destruction of the entire dais. She and Snoop* were the highlights. *Snoop was really on fire & not just doing his typical "I'm high, you're not; I'm black, you're not;" routine. Jersey Shore (whatever his name is) was exactly as I expected. Bombed. Whiffed. Good Samaritan award to Jeffery Ross for going up on stage with him to try and put out the flames. RIP Greg Giraldo. Wait, what was this thread about? (Sorry hiway )

adding to what Vegas said, I'm having a tough time with a POTUS candidate that has a reality TV show.

I'm certainly not one to really answer that question, Shep...'cause I only pay attention on the fringe but I believe there is someone else (I saw a congresswoman/senator the other day that had some promise, and no, it wasn't Palin) who IMO could generate more support than Gingrich, but I can't remember who! LOL

Right now, the possibilities seem like a reality show in and of themselves (Palin, Trump, Huckabee, etc.). They're more funny than interesting. We just need Beck to run now! Trump is even disappointing ME, and I'm a Dem. It's like he was asleep and missed the last election and thinks birth certificates and stuff aren't played out. When Good Morning America is making your allegations look silly and Stewart isn't even bothering? You gotta up your game. If I were running the GOP, I'd get out of the weird comedy ensemble (certainly including the funniest, Bachman) and get a lesser known young guy or woman who doesn't even wanna talk about paper tiger social issues (the thing preventing anybody under 40-ish, even white people, from admitting to being a good, clean conservative). They're going to lose everybody BUT white Christian exburbanites and I don't think you can sustain anything that way. The Tea Party thing was a dance with the devil. Too one dimensional (white, Christian, Middle America) and too old. Is there someone out there? Kind of a Goldwater conservative? |
