I think we (or maybe just I) really underestimated TJ Ward

Sheldon Brown got schooled at about the ten minute mark of the second quarter for a thirty four yard gain,he just flat out got beat,by far the ugliest pass coverage on D I saw in the whole game.
After further review I'm sold Haden will be a good one and barring injury Ward is the jersey to own and the identity this defense is looking for.
#43 XL one please.

Funny how there was all the......................OMGs and WTFs when the Browns announced the draft pick of T J Ward.

Maybe next time we should all take a step back and say................WOW, didn't see that but I think maybe these guys have a bit more insight then us.

and not just the Ward pick

Count me in as a guy who didn't like the pick, and now he may be my favorite pick. His open field tackling impressed the shit out of me (although Kiper said this was a knock on him). None of this run up and give the shoulder crap. Get low, wrap, lift, and drive'em to the ground. He made Driver look like he was on the JV squad.

JC O'Connor - TJ Ward is everywhere! Perfect tackle to stop the Packers on 3rd & 6 : - TwitVid (I posted this in Chat too)

And this for fun:

Living in Pac country, Ward was a big name before his injury. He was the guy people said, "Is he BETTER than Taylor Mays?" It was tough not to see him as a future first round pick.

Then he got dinged and that talk quieted. He started getting referred to as one-dimensional. When the Browns picked him at 38, there were plenty of "HUHs???" here to go around, and frankly... rightfully so. It was a surprise pick.

That doesn't make it a bad pick. It could be a genius pick and I'm starting to think it was. At that moment, I couldn't fathom passing on Clausen at 38 and I still think the odds of him becoming a serious starting QB n this league are really high and he would've been a steal.

BUT... Clausen is not an A+ quarterback prospect. He clearly knows how to play the position and has that "feel" for moving around and forward in the pocket to make something out of collapsed protection. He's accurate. He knows what he's doing. He has more than enough arm.

But the Browns passing because he isn't clearly THAT GUY? I can live with that. Honestly I can. And if they found a Pro Bowl safety at 38, that's some serious ass drafting. If Hardesty is what we think he is, Ward, Hardesty, Lauvao, and Haden could all be starters and that's a very nice draft.

I think we can compete this year. I also think we're going to draft Locker, Luck, or Ponder next season. I think we'll look for speed at WR, a long-term right tackle, some youth at DE, and some athleticism at LB. A much shorter list.

My point was sometimes we bloggers are over critical about picks when we have limited resources to evaluate the personnel. We hear from talking heads and think it's the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

That said, YEAAAAAHHHHH would be better then saying ................WTF ARE THESE IDIOTS DOING.

Know, I'm trying to be civil so please don't start your bullshit again with my posts. If you don't like my posts ignore it and move on. Your sarcasm isn't appreciated and I don't have much of a sense of humor when it comes to you.

Back on topic.........................please

Dude, I don't give two shits about your sense of humor about me, and neither would anyone else. I'm gonna be completely nice to you. I think you make a lot of good points here, and I'll always toss kudos you're way.

But please don't believe that your opinion of me is worth a thimble of piss. It is utterly and totally as meaningless to me and the world as ever. You don't know me, I don't know you, and that shit is all in the past, thank God. If you ever wanna share that opinion, drop down to the Hell Board and have at it. It'll be just as valuable there but at least you'll have a couple fans.

When you judge what I choose to write, you've given yourself a position over your pay grade. I won't judge what you write either. That's over my pay grade. It's done. Over.
Slate is clean.

Things are going really, really well, here. But please don't apply any value whatsoever to your opinion of me, or waste any time expressing it. There's no point. That's not the discussion and obviously never, ever will be again (based on how quickly it'll get pulled).

Disagree with me. Debate me. But don't make it ABOUT me.

You'll always be the drama queen and will always detour threads for your personnel bullshit. If you would just keep on topic, talk football and stop the wise ass comments there would never have been a problem and this thread would be still going strong.

Maybe just ignore me and we'll all be fine. It always got to be about you. Why don't you make your comments about football instead of your hypocritical bullshit analysis of what people are writing.

Dude, don't start and act hurt when I fire back. I don't want to do this at all. Truce. Total and complete truce. From now on, nothing but football.
