I'm flattered... and I'll continue to NOT initiate confrontations and personal shit. I'll continue NOT to waste people's time with what I think of other people (which is just about all Veg does here). And every time Sean or somebody else tries to spin it as something else, I'll be here to set that straight, too.

Did you even read my post in the other thread? there are many examples where I don't believe you were attacked first at all and yet used that passive aggressive way to try and make other people's opinions seem stupid.

NOW one thing I will totally agree with you on and commend you on. There were posts in that other topic that were way too personal towards you and you didn't take the bait on those.

But that still doesn't mean you are totally innocent and only ever defending yourself, you just aren't.

I personally don't want you to change that style, I do the same thing sometimes. Throw little jabs at folks inside posts for fun. But that's just it. I Know I do it, I do it for fun, and I would accept my part of the blame when people respond badly to me.

Wouldn't it be nice to be on the top because your fellow posters liked you and respected you so much that everybody looked to you for your opinion?

Right now you've told us you're on top, and have talked down to so many people that when you post there's a line of people waiting to put the "pompous asshat" in his place. That's what puts you "at the top", but see shep, it's the wrong list to be at the top of. It's like being at the top of the FBI's most wanted list. Sure that guy is "at the top" but it's for the wrong thing.


Not sure where it went awry cause I loved your posts over on the old board, we had good debates, and it was fun. Not sure if you just feel like the big fish on this new board or what, but something definitely changed during the move. I don't know what to do about it because I've long since given up hope that you would take any type of responsibility for all of this, or make any changes in your behavior in an effort to get along with everybody.

When we got into it in the beginning of the year you said me and Veg were the only ones who went after you. Since then I completely removed myself from these debates, and did they die? did it become just you vs veg? No, everybody else stepped up to the plate.

I must've missed it in my ire toward the attackers, Golf, and I apologize.

I'm not under the impression that I condescend anybody who treats me with some reasonable level of respect. I would never do that. I also go out of my way to tell people when I think they made a good point. I do it on an almost daily basis.

I work really, really hard to NOT respond to those three (and a few mascots who show up very occasionally). They exist here for exactly one purpose and have almost no value to the board whatsoever. I'm stunned over and over and over that nobody in charge here has any problem with that, or believes they need to be here at all. In the original plan? They weren't. Somehow that changed.

Eventually, they wear me down and I fire back. Predictably, Sean then says it's my fault. We go through it about once every three months, and the three of them jump and clap and throw feces out of their cages in celebration.

It's not a good thing. Frankly, the last time I saw anything like it was when Ate became Lumbergh's benefactor and all the good posters left in a coup. That board is so fucking stupid now, it's ridiculous. They asked me to come back and I couldn't imagine.

Every board has people who carry it, who start up juicy, entertaining topics. Yes, I'm obviously one of them here. You lose a couple of those, you're gonna need to find a couple guys to step in. Trust me, it's the truth.

And overvaluing the guys who sit in the back of the class shooting spitwads is a really, really bad idea.

But back to your point, Golf: If I'm mean to someone who wasn't begging for it, I can't find it. I'll try to be extra conscious of it.

Sorry, Sean... but you're wrong. REALLY wrong.

Tom and I have been spatting for about 10 years. He gest personal and mean... we make up... and it's fine. I don't jump him. He jumps me. Mostly I let it go.

I get along just fine with Golf. I get along just fine with Alo. We don't have fights... we do a little upscale chickenshitting and that's it. True of most of the board.

Here are the guys who go after me a lot (you know who they are):

These are not exactly desirables, Sean. They're mean, they have virtually no value to any board except to start things up... and you know that. If it wasn't me, it would be some other smartie pants who needed "put in his place."

Riff and I don't attack each other. We don't always disagree, but I think he's a good poster. I'm fine with having someone to spar with once in a while, so long as it stays within reasonable parameters.

You know I'm right about this. You know when we started this board I said I didn't want people who existed only to attack, and some of the worst of the worst are here doing absolutely nothing BUT that!

And yet you waste post after post... on me? Seriously? Trying to sell the notion that I'm some nasty instigator? Go back and look at the Holmgren thread, tell me what's so nasty and evil and mean about it.

Why do you think ONLY MZ ever comes to your defense? is the rest of the board afraid of those 4 you mentioned? are we all in cahoots with them?

Or maybe just maybe is it that while we personally can debate you without going to thier level of nastiness, sometimes we do feel you are a little to big for your britches and can use a dressing down? And it's not because you are smart, don't try to spin it that way. It's because of the attitude you potray.

Do you think if someone started going after Alo or someone like PBJ you like you feel Veg, Ytown and KoK go after you, that they wouldn't get defended?

Alo's low key. That's cool. I'm not. That's obviously way cooler (!). I like to provoke, but not insult. I like to get things going. If I was just like Alo, the board would slow down significantly. Both of us are necessary.

I am not one who needs much help. I think that's obvious. I'm no damsel. I'm cool with that.

I would guess that Alo and I are two very different guys. I would also guess we have some things in common. I would guess he has no desire to be more like me and vice-versa. That's cool. That's life. That's a community.

But just because I'm an instigator or smartass (without insulting anybody) doesn't mean I'm fair game for personal insults. Confident people are not threatened by other confident people... even arrogant ones. They just aren't.

When my existence or schtick gets someone all worked up even though I haven't attacked that person, I instantly know more than I need to know about that guy. I have him figured out. He's revealed more than he wanted to.
