Boggles the mind.
Thanks Greythan! It's hard to believe we have Browns fans that are rooting against our rookies (ie: Haden and McCoy) while at the same time they're hoping other rookies (Jimmy Clausen, Mike Kafka and Dez Bryant) excell.

My conclusion for those thinking that way is the Browns fan in them is getting shutout by the ego of needing to be right about predictions/prospects. I don't see a prognosis of fun in that at all for them. Just keepin it real.

Come on. It's so hard to believe because it's so patently FALSE.

Saying that you wished the Browns selected someone else is kinda different than hoping the guy they did draft sucks. And by 'kinda' I mean 'totally.'

It is incredibly easy to draw these conclusions, though, based on the type of conversation started. I mean seriously, what is the purpose of creating this thread, except that you are just trying to create more information on why McCoy and Haden were bad picks? Seriously.

I know this is a slow time of year. If you want to discuss Kafka for potential fantasy value or for shits and giggles fine. If I, or Inspecta, or Flugles started a thread on Kafka, and just stuck to the facts of what was said without any commentary about the Browns going and getting him... most might find it somewhat interesting and might choose to discuss it.

But because Shep is who he is, and he redundantly adds the commentary (we all know why he'd start a thread like this, so adding comments about him being a good target for the Browns in 2011 is superfluous), it makes these kinds of threads more irritating and flabberghasting than interesting.

Sure, you and others may find these types of threads irritating, but you're essentially questioning whether shep is a Browns fan? Really??

*The Eagles quarterback who has caused the most offseason buzz in the building is not Kevin Kolb. And it’s not Michael Vick, either. It’s Mike Kafka, the team’s fourth-round pick out of Northwestern. Philly offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg tells me Kafka has been “on fire” in offseason practices, and praised him for his quick decisions. He said Kafka has been one of the most accurate rookie passers in the offseason that he ever has seen. Sounds like this kid has an outstanding chance to develop into a starter in that top-notch Eagles system.
I could see Kafka was a real deal..........good take Shep

I don't think it's a question of anyone's fandom as much as whether or not being RIGHT is more important to them.

I would venture to guess it's important to all of us, just some more than others.

...which is categorically wrong, I'd wager.

I mean, I brought up Mike Williams (SYR) up 50K times, but that doesn't mean I want him to be better than MoMass (though he will be!).............

and I am not so sure that it might not please some greatly if Clausen ends up better than McCoy.

I'm not questioning whether he's a Browns fan. I know he wants them to do well and win just like the rest of us.

He is just annoying and we don't like it.
