Yes, as long as you aren't annoying when trying to be right.

Face it, we're all pretty annoying at times.

I like Shep. I think he's gotten lost in this QB thing since it became apparent the Quinn wasn't going to be the answer. I honestly think it clouds his ability to be a simple Browns fan. He's tainted. His posting history and habits indicate as much.

I'm hoping he can shake it once we get full time into camp. My confidence level drops an increment every time he starts a thread like this with the whole "let's get excited about an unproven rookie QB who dropped FARTHER than McCoy". Wow.

That's sort past annyoing to be honest.

What's annoying is it was mostly Alo and I who really liked Kafka and said as much (not trying to exclude anybody here but I don't remember anybody else). Shep came around after awhile and was lukewarm with him, but now you'd think he invented him......even liking him more than Freckles at this point.

Granted, and for different reasons I'll wager.

But when 95% of people on both boards keep saying the same thing...

[Aside: If it wasn't for the ad nauseum nature of Shep's posting style, then we wouldn't be doing the following:]

...over and over and over and over and over and over, et. al.

I suppose I'm not exactly sure why he sticks in everyone's craws as much as he does.

But for whatever reason, the overwhelming majority (if you killed everyone who had no problem with his posting style, or agreed with everything he wrote, it wouldn't even be considered decimation) don't like how he comports himself while posting about QBs.

It would have to be a very humble man to make something like that happen.
It's not easy but it can be done,if you give a shit.

You know,

I was going to stay out of this sorry fucking thread, I really was. However let me just say this, even though you removed your post: I doubt it has to do with Quinn. Up until the draft when I came here Shemp was somewhat upbeat. The change, IMO, is two sided. The first: The guy has egg all over his face. 30,000 threads telling us everything from Fucknuts favorite food, to when he schedules his shits, to what porn sites he jerks off to. Mixed in with each TMZ styled Pickle report was massive amounts of hype, a whole lot of false reports from clueless E-"experts" on how it was so assured Pickle would be off the board fast, #7 would be a fall in the draft. As we seen, had it not been for Carolina, the fall would have been round three. That HAS to sting pretty badly, claiming what was apparently a late 2nd-mid 3rd prospect would likely go in the top six, top seven MAX.

Secondly: I've seen it before. This is what happens when someone falls in love with a player. You follow said players every move, put the posters up on the walls, CONVINCE themselves that WILL be the choice and all will live happily ever after. When it doesn't happen? It deflates a guy. Compound it with the fact we passed on Pickle twice only to draft a different QB later? That's gotta be painful. Be honest folks, we've probably all been there before. Of course the difference is we all turned 13 and realized being a crazed stalker of Athletes was a tad lame, plus we discovered following vagina was alot more fun, we've all kinda been there.

That's what it is we have here. Apparently now however it's morphed BEYOND just "OMG we gotta draft some QB in round 1!" to "ANYBODY but McCoy! Go get me a QB, ANY QB, even a 4th rounder as long as it knocks the guy we drafted over Pickle OFF the roster." That's a bit.... I dunno, it's a bit out there and sad. Just cheer on the players we have on the roster, hope for their success and move the fuck on already. Pickle ISN'TT coming here and Colt McCoy is the rookie QB getting mentored by Holmgren. It's done, accept it or go join the Panthers forums, damn.

Don't worry it was nothing that earth shattering, but the moderator who said those things didn't want it out there, so I gotta respect that.

Suffice to say that the Shep of old is dead, and I'm not sure a resurrection is possible....
