Jack got contacted (well, my e-mail) by both Cal Poly and UC-Davis after his camps. He really stood out. Along with USD, he has three schools hovering around. He has to perform this year, though.

The size thing is going to be an issue, though. He's 5'11" and 205 right now, which is better for safety.
8/2/10 is when the state(OH) lets football begin training.

California changed something this year. We still took the 20 days off, but we were playing 7 on 7 almost non-stop from April on with a break for finals.

Delhomme will be the starter as long as the team is performing (i.e., winning "enough"). I guess there's a remote possiblity that Delhomme is sucking but we're still winning and he gets benched. Hard to see that happening as the two are so intertwined (QB performance and winning). Well, intertwined except for the Cleveland Browns at the end of last year.

I'm with Ytown on this one. There are WAAAAY too many chicken littles running around saying the sky is falling (he's throwing a pick, he's throwing a pick,he's thro...........)

Enough already. We can all resume this conversation after around 8:30 Saturday night. Jake will be out of the game by then, and all the paranoids can wax poetic about the four interceptionshe threw in his two offensive series.

The radio callers bitched about Jake's flutters because he didn't throw any picks. I didn't see it, but apparently he looked light in the arm. Eager to see tape of Saturday's game. Not on NFLN until Monday.

After watching DA crap his pants last year game after game, then watch Quinn struggle.. Delhomme.. even playing badly will look like a pro bowler. if he plays well he will look like johnny U. compared to that debacle last year.. so relax and enjoy..he have real QB's on the roster..wohoo!!!!

There is another board that has an entire thread dedicated to what a pain in the ass you are.You just have to create these Bullshit arguments about your favorite subject and to try and make something out of nothing, you just cant help yourself.
If he sucks he sucks and he will ride the bench but can the guy play a fuckin game first, just one?
Until we draft the first QB in next years draft that has your stamp of approval(Quinn comes to mind)we get to listen to you talk about how we don't have a QB.
It's just nauseating as a fan of the Browns to have you rippin on the guy Holmgren and Mangini brought in as a stop gap and maybe longterm, his play will tell but they feel it's an improvement over what we had.

Holy cripes, dude, nobody here including me has said anything that you should get upset about. I liked the Wallace signing. I liked the Hardesty draft pick. I like DQJ. I think the Delhomme signing was pretty crazy and the McCoy draft pick was iffy.

I like some things, I don't like others. How is that a reason to jump my ass yet again? We all talk about what we like and don't like about the team, how things are going, etc.

What part of that aren't you grasping? I don't care if you agree with me. I don't care if you like my opinions. They're mine and you're welcome to debate them. But for God's sake, tuck your tampon in and quit getting all bent out of shape.

Oh, by the way... the existence of that thread on the other board was flattering enough, but the fact that the majority of the posts were so appreciative and complimentary was even better. I don't seek it out, but it's nice when somebody acknowledges that I do a good job of getting debates started on either board when things get slow.

There's really no need to try to go nasty, Dan. I didn't say anything mean to you and won't. Just debate in the topics you like and skip the ones you don't. I'm pretty sure Delhomme hasn't done anything to reach untouchable status just yet (!).

I have serious doubts as to whether Delhomme will make it through the tough Week 3-10 stretch. For that reason, I find the positive reports on Wallace somewhat encouraging: I doubt he's a guy who'll win you a lot of games, but Seneca should be serviceable if Delhomme sucks ass.

They won't hesitate to pull the trigger. They are not married to Jake and Wallace may even be the better player at this point. Bottom line is it's nice to have two vet guys who have shown some good games in their career. Derek Bear and Queen aged me around 10 the last 3.

I went over there, out of morbid curiosity, just now. That Junkyard Dog guy HATES me and believes me to be homosexual, and I have no idea who he is.
