Default "Over/Under" on How Long Delhomme Starts?

Ohio.com - Browns QB Jake Delhomme knows path to popularity littered with wins

I think his leash will be pretty short, as I've said. It won't take many multiple-interception games to have a "who didn't see that coming?" vibe.

The appropriate response is sixteen games.
Hoping for any less is rooted in failure, because if Jake isn't starting that means the team is collapsing, coaches are being fired, the team is going to be rebuilt,Lerner is paying more coaches who are unemployed and so on.
Just win baby.

its a win-win situation no matter how he fares.

you keep him in all year long. Anything south of the .500 record just improves our position in next years draft. Seeing McCoy this year is not a good thing.

Delhomme hasn't thrown an interception in a game for Cleveland yet. This bullshit post from a bullshit article is a slap at Holmgren and Heckert.

Fuck this before the first preseason game....................................:BewareSpa m:

Oh, lighten up you propaganda loving Pollyanna! When did you become so allergic to anything that doesn't add up to RAH?!

"A slap at Holmgren and Heckert?" Oh, like everything against a war is unpatriotic? C'mon, man. You used to like talking about stuff.

So actually doing so: I was more excited when we got Seneca Wallace than when we got Jake Delhomme. Wallace has always intrigues me. Big arm, great wheels, creative playmaker. He's one of those guys who made me wonder: What if he was handed the reins?

I kind of thought of him as Rich Gannon when he went to the Raiders and finally got a full-time gig. I figured the Browns would then draft a guy to learn behind him for a couple years and I was pretty down with that plan.

I'm wary of Delhomme. I'm gonna really need some convincing that a 35-year-old coming off major surgery and a couple bad years is going to turn himself and a team around.

I don't think the Browns need to convince anybody about JD.

P.S. hows' the boy liking 2 a days? Mine are hot as hell.

My boy? They go back to work Saturday... as the #5 team in the nation, per Maxpreps. Unreal. What an experience.

Jack got contacted (well, my e-mail) by both Cal Poly and UC-Davis after his camps. He really stood out. Along with USD, he has three schools hovering around. He has to perform this year, though.

The size thing is going to be an issue, though. He's 5'11" and 205 right now, which is better for safety.

Let's correct that to 1 bad year and not a couple bad years. Plus discussing with you is like pissing into the wind. This is a classic Shep find some negative shit to post stuff. Everybody is concerned but most realize we have a stopgap and aren't counting on Delhimme to take us to the promise land.

Over/Under is bullsit. Delhomme is the QB and Wallace is the backup and wildcat guy and McCoy is the clipboard holder.

This isn't material for discussion, it's bullshit when we haven't even had a preseason game yet.

So.................................WTF

Of course it's a great discussion! Any board on any team that signed a QB like Delhomme would be discussing how long he might last, if he can resurrect his career, whether we'd be better with Wallace, etc.

This is the only place EVER that I've read so much damning of discussion material for not being patriotic or positive enough. Dude, you're getting strange. Just dive in and debate/discuss or don't.

I like DQJ and you shit on him. What does that say about your faux patriotism? Does it only extend to players you endorse?

Nobody shit on DQJ. I said he was destined to be a role player this year because of his limitations as a WILB only. Maybe the problem is you have a reading comprehension problem. Go back and reread it before you get your panties in a bunch.

Putting out a over or under slap at Delhomme isn't great discussion, it's bullshit. But again, that's your normal style.

You sure you wouldn't be happier posting with your friends on TBB since we are dead to you and we are a gang of thugs anyway.

Delhomme will get the year because, in reality, his goal is to help young players progress, not to win the Super Bowl. Unless he cannot perform that seemingly simple/low-pressure function, he'll be fine.

If there's anyone on this website that thinks Delhomme is the starting QB for all 16 games. baring injury no matter how well he plays is kidding themselves. And just discussing that fact doesn't mean you are hoping Delhomme does bad. It just means you are discussing a possibility.

I personally think Delhomme will have a bit of a resurgent year and will be the QB for all 16 games. But I would not at all be shocked if he's not. But I would lay money on the fact that he WILL be the starting QB for the first 7 games of the season.
