I really think he will. I think he made too many plays in WC and ST's not to play a larger role @ WR. He is the best talent we have as a threat so I can see an increased role for him.

I think when I see him have 6 catches for 90 yards in a TD in a real game, I'll start believing it. Does seem like we've been talking about him becoming a WR for a very long time. He started most games last year and never seemed to get open.

But, like I said: I like getting the ball in his hands.

WC and ST are very different than playing WR. The team has been trying to give him a bigger roll for several years now. We'll have to see what he does on Sundays when the games count. Like I said, I will have to see him being successfull at WR to believe it.

Watching the game today, Cribbs still struggles with routes and on 2 catches he had he needed to push off to get separation. Both times he could have been called for a penalty but was not.. I'm not convinced he will ever be even marginal as a reciever.. considering this is year 6 for him trying to learn that spot.. I can see us using him on some underneath crossing routes where he can just run.. otherwise.. forget him. Keep him as special teams/wildcatter.

Thanks for bringing up the push offs Sez. They were pretty blatant and I was surprised he didn't get called for them. The most blatant was on the TD pass.

I'm definitely in the "get him the ball" camp. He can catch a snap, handoff, and a pitch.

Let's see more of those, Eric.

I am all for those ways of getting him the ball. We've seen real success with that.

Definitely. He can also catch punts, & KO's. So if putting him on the field to stumble through slant routes & hook routes inhibits his wildcat & and unparalleled return game, the get him off the field as a WR.

Not only if it inhibits his other parts of the game, if it inhibits your passing offense. Having someone stumble through slant routes and hook routes hurts the rest of your passing game.

You guys had to remind me the TD involved a pushoff. If that didn't CRUSH me already, Masters reminded me it was ONLY the Rams in preseason.

Speaking of Rams, then Ramrod steps up to the plate and says Cribbs would make a great Safety. Not that I didn't appreciate his awesome thinking out side of the box. But that was a politically corrrect gem for saying bad idea Flugel. What's even worse is I liked his idea. Ram, you HAVE to post more you're just fun man.

And Legacy had the best wit of all regarding Cribbs' receiving skills: "He can catch a snap, handoff, and a pitch." Hidden message there is "dude has serious hands!"

Folks, your buddy Flugel got clobbered but the entertainment packed in this thread was second to none!

There's no getting clobbered Tom. We are all just giving our arm chair opinions. As a Browns fan, I hope you are correct about Cribbs and he is all world at WR this season.

Even though he has been making strides as a wr, I''d have to say he still looks more like a rb than a wr.
