Per his Twitter account, Brandon McDonald relays that he's been released.

Confirming to Browns fans that he had been cut via Twitter, CB Brandon McDonald has become the highest-profile Brown to be released in this year's roster moves.
Per the National Football Post, OL Paul Fanaika has also been released by the team. More as we get it...

OBR is reporting (and so is ESPN) that CJ Mosley got cut.

With B-Mac and Lawson gone, does that give Chancellor a chance? He's Clemson with Davis and I think someone else is Clemson on the team as well?

Umm, is this good or bad? I mean they must have confidence in Brown/Haden/Wright and maybe Mike Adams as the #4 corner? I just hope nobody in our division picks him up because they would be getting a solid corner.

What's wierd is that ClevelandBrowns.com says nothing about McDonald being cut and I even checked his twitter account and I can't find where he said he got cut. Can anyone confirm the tweet by pasting it in the thread please?

I hate it when others do this, but because of the grief I got, I want to point out that I called B-Mac as being on the bubble a week or so ago. Everyone thought I was crazy. Of course, if I'm going to toot my own horn, its only fair that I also point out that I was wrong about the Browns keeping Lawson.

One interesting thing to watch out for, is if B-Mac gets picked up on waivers, or if he has to go sell himself after 3 days pass. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens pick him up, since they are having secondary problems.

Anyone surprised by Mosley? I am, but I'm not. I mean I suppose it gives a shot to one of the youngsters, and he really hasn't contributed all offseason due to injury issues... but he is one of Mangini's boys.

Both Schaefering and Derreck Robinson impressed in the pre-season games. Mosley isn't good enough to justify getting rid of those two guys.

I can't see cutting both Coye and BMac. We haven't seen anyone step up to justify thinning that pile, IM0. Something doesn't add up.
