As for B-Mac... he wasn't Mangini's or Ryan's type of CB. If Chancellor showed good stuff early, and they liked what they saw out of Hayden, Brown and Adams (who backs up both Safety and CB), then why doesn't it make sense? I mean Keep 4 Safeties, 4 CB's and Adams. What do they need Francies or BMac for? |

1) This is also a strength. He takes risks in coverage. As often as his trying to jump routes helps him with pass defenses and interceptions, he also gets burnt on them. When the risks start to outweigh the strengths, as is the case with B-Mac last year, then he becomes more a liability than a help. This "strength" also helps him look good in preseason, because there isn't much in the way of film study and game planning around particular player's strengths and weaknesses during this time of the year. But in a real game, it can be, and has been game planned around. 2) He is a major liability in run support, because he isn't a great tackler. He's not a very physical cornerback. |

| Incorrect. Mosley is plenty good enough to justify getting rid of both those journeymen. But his ankle injury is severe and most likely, his career playing days are over in having any impact.

| True, but this coupled with his liability against the run will cause him to at best be the nickle back on most teams.

Cutting Bmac seems to leave us thin at DB in my opinion.. but if the young guys are outplaying him.. so be it.. that's the nature of the game..He'll be working very soon. I liked him and still thought he had upside and room to get better... Oh..well. I hope it does not bite us later.

Man, I've always loved Bmac. All the time we were running a vanilla rubber band type defense under Romeo, I kept saying to myself "Man, that's the kind of guy I want here, aggressive, willing to make a play even at the cost of giving up one." Best of luck wherever you may land.

| Cleveland Browns activate Shaun Rogers, cut CB Brandon McDonald and QB Brett Ratliff and 13 others | cleveland.com Im surprised they let Asante go with our safety depth but prolly a practice squad guy.
