It was inevitable. He sounded about as raw as it got.

In my opinion, if we're replacing Colt McCoy, you aim higher than Colt... Flynn or RGIII don't really give me that warm and fuzzy feeling.

Awww, too bad. Not even a practice squad place for that guy. I was always rooting for the underdog, but I saw him play and that boy just aint good.

I feel bad for him.... I wonder what he's gonna do now that his dream of playing in the NFL is quickly ending.

He can still end up being signed to the practice squad.

This league is for the big boys, not just the large boys. A lot of these guys think they have the size and since they can intimidate everybody in normal life, it's going to be a cakewalk kicking ass on the gridiron. Not quite, and most of them learn the NFL is for real the hard way.

Bless them for trying.

I think when he got that big article I knew he was doomed. That was his 15 minutes.

Reminds me of a story of a guy from Conneaut who played at YSU named Rick Brunot. He is in the Hall at YSU and went to walk on for the Browns as a street FA. Dude was a badass and used to hunt with us, although he was about 5 years older than me.

Just being around the guy and knowing what a stud he was at football from our level gave me the impression he had a shot with the Browns in the 80's when he tried out. He even had a quote in the local paper about how the Browns and the NFL were just looking for the "baddest, toughest and best." He was confident he could go in there and kick ass, but he got cut right off the bat with no fanfare.

Saw him hunting the next year and asked him how it went, and he pretty much said he was way out of his league, that those boys could flat out get it. He went about 66 285 back then, which was huge in the 80's. I'll always remember that when looking at these pups physically that media types get a hold of in the offseason pimping, and I am generally very pessimistic about their chances.

First and foremost you have to be big enough, but mostly you gotta be able to ball no matter what position it is.

Oh, and even though we are all mostly guilty of saying someone sucks, they really don't. Hell, if you can play D III level ball you're a helluva player, let alone getting a tryout or actually sticking in the league.

All except for Hank Poteat and DA, they sucked.

Every guy on an nfl roster. even 3rd string and never plays is a badass football player..Just to be drafted you must absolutely blow people away in college. We know this.. But when we say "sucks' it's relative to the nfl..not to football in general.. Pretty crazy when amazing football players suck ha ha ha. But it really shows the guys who get on the field are world class athletes. The guys who are 6'6' 300 lb defensive lineman.. we think they are big an slow.. Most of them could outrun any one of us on this board..

I recall as a kid I thought my big brother was big and fat (he was) and i could just run away from him if I got him mad.. I tried my luck once...(once) and he ran me right down and snagged me up.. and I was a strong runner.. I was like.. HUH? Man that dude can really move.. That's what nfl linean are like..guys like Warren Sapp are amazingly quick and fast.. and not just for their size.. compared to ANYONE they are quick and fast.. that's what being world class is..

I don't think Clifton Geathers will make the 53 man either.
