| I just sent an email to the commissioner urging SUH to be suspended. And NO, I don't expect him to read it but it makes me feel better. "To: Goodell2@nfl.net Date: Mon, Aug 30, 2010 3:39 pm Subj: SUH needs to be SUSPENDED Dear Commissioner, I'm sure you have seen the video/replay of Detroit Lions' DT SUH's dirty attempt to break Jake Delhomme's neck. After watching MANY replays, OBVIOUSLY Suh knew he had the facemask and DID NOT LET GO. Then after having Jake ON THE GROUND (on his knees), he violently ripped him to the ground. I'm sorry, but it looked like he wanted break Jake's neck...his head was turned in a way it could have happened. WHAT KIND OF PR PROBLEM WOULD THE NFL HAVE AFTER KILLING A MAN ...and NOT as an accident like an inadvertent collision? The Quarterback is the essential piece to the NFL puzzle and my understanding is that the NFL has made rules to protect them. This was BLATANT and a DOUBLE bad move/cheap shot. Just fining a NEW multimillionaire would be a joke...a message needs to be sent to this rookie/punk or he will kill someone! Thank you for indulging me. Sincerely, [my real name given here]"

| Browns expect Suh penalty to be reviewed By TOM WITHERS, AP Sports Writer 2 hours, 10 minutes ago BEREA, Ohio (AP)—The Browns expect the NFL to review the play in which Detroit Lions rookie Ndamukong Suh(notes) grabbed quarterback Jake Delhomme’s(notes) facemask and violently flung him to the ground. In the second quarter of Saturday’s exhibition game, Suh grabbed Delhomme by the face mask, twisted it, threw both arms around the QB’s head and spun him to the ground. Suh was assessed a 15-yard penalty for the infraction, which seemed severe enough to warrant an ejection. Browns coach Eric Mangini said Monday that he will ask the league to investigate the play, but he assumed it would do so anyway. Mangini does not believe there was any malice on the part of the No. 2 overall draft pick, and Delhomme said he would leave it up to the league to decide whether a suspension or fine is warranted. Definitely merits a fine. Should have gotten a little crack-back action from our O-line as well. Ooops! Sorry...seems like I accidentally fell on the back of your knees...with my helmet. I love Joe "Turkey" Jones. Thanks for the highlight. |

| I wouldn't be surprised if Delhomme told his line to let it go.

| That's not cool. We need to be like the Ratbirds, you mess with one of us we're going headhunting on your punk asses so tread lightly. Yeah, I obviously think he needs HEAVILY fined AND suspended over that. He should have been ejected from the game as well, but what's done is done in that regard. |

After finally seeing it.. The facemask was run of the mill stuff. No biggie. I didn't even mind the wrap up.... But when Delhomme was on his knee, and Suh took the time to get a better grip...then ripped him from his knees, over and around to throw him to the dirt???? That was plain and simple DIRTY!!! Even what Turkey Jones did doesn't compare because Bradshaw was NEVER DOWN! Delhomme was DOWN BY CONTACT when Suh re-gripped and ripped him across his body. Even without the facemask that was a penalty. The two combined...I think he deserves a game at least.

I agree with Shep. I hated the fact that the line just sat there while Suh tried to rip Jake's head off. It could make for a long year if other teams look at the film of this and see the Browns as soft. This could be the first of many cheap shots.
