Delhomme has never been elite.
He's had his ups and downs, but the description I'd use on him is a caretaker qb.
Even in his best years, he did just enough to win and not enough to lose.
So I don't ever see Jake turning out to be "elite."
I can deal with that so long as we get "solid" until we can find an "elite" in the draft or via trade.

WV put it best. . . Clayton is shoved down our throats by ESPN as one of their EXPERTS, and this is the trash he can put out? Maybe since he's so successful he spends most of his days in hot tub with models, and just cranks out junk in his spare time.

Yeah I have no problem with him having zero chance to be elite, but to put him below trent edwards is a huge joke.
