Some folks really liked him in the draft, right? Did he have an injury issue?

I think with Moore basically playing a Dallas Clark role and Hillis being such a good receiver, there won't be much for the fifth WR to do. I certainly would want that guy to be developmental with upside for 2011.

Just read an article that the Bengals are praying he makes it through waivers. He had a 50 yard TD catch from Palmer in their last game but only 3 catches for 39 yards prior to that. Like Mitchell, he was a 6th round pick.

How did a kid with 3,000 receiving yards in his last two years not get drafted higher than that? WRs in the draft are kind of hinky.

Briscoe was slated for as high as late round 2 but ran a 4.61 at the Combine. He's 6'2" and 207 and a lot of stuff I read says while he isn't "sudden," he plays a lot faster than that. Great leaping ability. Some character concerns from earlier in his college career.

I want us to bring someone young in who can grow with the team and compete..not a bandaid type of old guy who will be gone when we get this thing rolling..

I agree, Sez. That fifth guy needs to be young with upside. I don't really believe Moore, Hillis, Watson, Robo, Mo, Stuckey, and Cribbs are gonna leave many balls for anybody.

I don't think the maneuvering is over yet. I wouldn't be breathing easy until next Sunday if I were him. Could be just a hold to try to slip him to the practice squad late.

I don't think he is close to being ready to playing in an NFL game that means something.
