I believe Jamal Lewis blew out both knees but followed that up with a 2000 yard season and a fine career. We are deep there so RB was one place we could take a hit and not become a disaster.

Yeah, he's by no means finished. Ronnie Brown's another back who's played well after undergoing some knee troubles.

I'm severely bummed. I loved the pick a ton, held my breath on the injury history. He didn't get hurt his whole senior year... strange that he could barely step on a field now without getting pretty seriously dinged.

Either way, we need to be looking at a potential replacement. The season hasn't started yet and his knees have already been injured twice. Not good.

It's almost like "LeCharles Bentley" getting hurt on the first play of practice.

The demands of the postion and the game sometimes aggravate knees differently. He tore one on each side. Maybe sewing him back together on the other knee makes both stronger for this particular individual. We'll see. Bummer for sure because basically he was the big AND fast back for us. But Hillis, Davis and Harrison? Man that isn't too shabby if you ask me.

Wasn't it two days later the DB we signed from Baltimore tore BOTH knees?

I forget his name because he wasn't an impact, but that was a shitty couple weeks right there.

One man's tragedy is another man's redemption.

James Davis played his ass off two preseasons in a row, and had his own heartbreak in between. If not for Hardesty's injury, he might not have made the team anyway. Where would he get carries behind Hardesty, Harrson, and Hilis?

Davis deserves to get his touches in the regular season. He's one of the fastest players on a roster that lacks speed and he's shown time after time that he can turn a short pass into a long one.

I'm happy for him... and he's a guy I'll really be pulling for.

And a 1000 of those yards came against the Browns.

I mean, you guys couldn't have expected that this pre-season went down with nothing bad happening to us.

I just think it's awesome that on the same day that we find out that our 2nd round pick is out for the season, we also find out that Big Ben gets to open his season against us, and that Suh was fined a whopping 7,500 bucks for nearly ripping Delhommes face off.
