Default Mark Clayton Would be Interesting...

With the addition of Houshmadilla, the Ravens will try to trade Mark Clayton and cut him if they can't. I think it's a little strange, given that the Ravens will be fielding a trio of possession receivers over 30, but whatever.

Clayton just turned 28, and while hasn't been a star, he does have over 3,000 yards in five seasons and has often looked on the cusp. He'd bring a nice infusion of speed, something we lack.

He'll come cheap either way, trade or cut, and he'd be a very solid and logical pickup. He's young, he's fast, and he's shown he can play.

With Stallworth out with a broken foot, I'd be surprised if BALT cuts Clayton. Even if he is, I see no reason for CLE to bring him in. Has also not fast. He has average speed at best. It's why BALT kept looking for speed to put opposite of him.

I thought Clayton was supposed to be the speed opposite Mason? I know Clayton has a high YPC.

EDIT: He runs a 4.45, or that was his Combine time. He's fast. Also a 40" vertical, so should be explosive.

Rams acquired WR Mark Clayton from the Ravens in exchange for future late-round "considerations."

Damn! I liked that one. Clayton is Oklahoma, right? Little Sooner loyalty for Bradford, I guess.

as bad as the ravens recieving corps has been outstide of Derrick Mason (who is very old). That this guy could not establish himself says a whole lot about how bad he is.

I don't know, Sez. Happens all the time. Plus, he's had some production. He's got like 3,300 yards. I think it was a bad move on their parts... and a good move on the Rams' part.

He doesn't run great routes and I hear the knock on him is he doesn't study the WR craft well to begin with. Going to a rookie QB isn't going to help matters much either. For either player.

Rams had to do something for Bradford. Don't wanna kill his confidence completely having him throw to turds.

That said, the Browns top ranked fantasy receiver is Mohammed Massoquai and he's ranked the 49th WR in the NFL... lol.

Clayton had 41 catches for about 700 yards year before last. Couple years earlier, he had 60-some catches for about 940 yards. He has 3,300 yards in five seasons.

We don't have anybody who's done that.
