Default On the Positive Side...

Evan Moore had 3 catches for 87 yards. He's good. Really good.

T.J. Ward had 12 tackles. He was all over the field.

I thought Gocong was really active. Benard had 1.5 sacks, but I thought he had another.

Those four guys really stood out.

Where was Robiskie?

Jumping out of his shoes trying to catch the overthrows.

But I pretty much agree with you on the positives you posted, all in all still not many positives to take away there.

Haden's pass breakup on a 3rd down in the first half was epic, all pro looking stuff.

Sheldon Brown had an exceptional pass breakup on a post route. He also had fantastic coverage on the TD pass that was a complete fucking gimmick of a catch.

Mike Adams was everywhere too.

Matt Roth blew up several running plays. He really does play like a "bully".

We simply made too many mistakes and somehow didn't realize that Tampa was a team we should steam roll. Instead, we let them stick around and..... you saw what happened.

The defense was mostly good until they faded late. Offense really hurt them with the three turnovers, 2 in the red zone or almost there.

Before the TD bomb, I thought Haden looked really good. Ward even better.

On offense, we need the right side of our line back, a WR who can get separation and, yes, for the 100th straight year, a serious QB.

Prior to the injury Delhomme looked at least Decent.. he was hit and injured on the short INT and was never the same after that.. again... bad coaching.. he was effected in his throwing after that.. Wallace should have been in the game.. So I don't blame Delohomme for his bad play in the 2nd half..he was being a gamer..

Every cut hurts like the first. I think I was cursed by a gypsy.

So do the Browns start Wallace, use Delhomme's ankle as an excuse?

Marcus Benard had a number of fantastic plays. We need to stop putting Fujita on the ouside and put him back on the inside. He IS an ILB after all! .... Switch him with Eric Barton (Bench his mediocre ass, already!), so we can start Benard on the outside.

Gocong was good playing downhill, but he had a few mishaps in space. He's going to be a solid 3-4 ILB, especially if he's paired with a more athletic guy.

Wombat and Alo, I agree. Benard needs to be on the field and Barton needs to be off it.

There was a ton to be excited about in this game, specifically from the defensive side. A ton. This is NOT the same defense as in the past... they were tougher, more fierce, and more physical.

And that's without much from Cribbs or the special teams.

That makes it so much more painful that Delhomme almost single-handedly handed this game away. What a great start to the season it could have been.

Delhomme broke this teams heart and will with that INT before halftime.

That's been a huge part of Delhomme's game for quite a while... the interception at the worst possible time. He should be somebody's veteran backup right now, like Brunell.

Start Seneca.
