I thought that was the play he was injured on. Either way, he was having a hell of a game until the injury. Most QBs aren't very good when there is a turnstile in place anywhere on the O-line. Did they release anything on his injury yet?

Only on the first page of this thread but wanted to acknowledge this quote. Too bad some of us here don't think Holmgren has a direction he wants to guide this team to. I could type on to justify, rationalize, or logically look at the big picture but this quote speaks volumes. Thanks EE +1 (more if I could)

I will say this: if there is any question Jake can't last 4 quarters, he shouldn't see the field as a starter. I would make him the backup. You cannot go into this game at home with a QB with a weak plant foot, down by 10-14 points, and then continue to be stubborn and allow him to play. This game is not one of those games where we need to see improvement. We need to win as many as we can.

I can see it now. We're down 10-14 points, yet we are going with Jake because he is the starter. Jake, for better or for worse, is not a QB that can comeback and put 14 quick points on the board. We're not built like that right now. We need to play mistake free, perfect football on offense to have a chance at winning. Coming from behind is not our game, and coupled with a bum ankle?

Shit if I am Mangini I just toss out conservative thinking and just put in Seneca Wallace. Today. Get him ready.

And tell KC the Cyclone is coming, and Cribbs is coming with him.

Cleveland Browns begin preparations for Chiefs with Seneca Wallace as QB | cleveland.com

At least right now it looks like Seneca. I'm psyched. I think it'll be fun.

I didnt think Jake looked all thay great in the 1st half...that TD he threw was almost and shouldve been a INT...he almost just about underthrew it in double coverage...he got very lucky on that play.

I want Wallace to have success.

I am extremely curious to know what would happen though if he bombed miserably - is our fan base deranged enough to start calling for Colt McCoy? I mean after you ditch Jake and Seneca as trash, there's nowhere else to go...

Wallace career QBR = 83.1 , 25 TD's, 14 INT's. This preseason, he was 13-of-26 passes for 230 yds & 3 TD's with a QBR = 103

Have to admit to a light approach to this year's QB's. I'm still drained from the last three years of QB drama and instead am opting for the light approach.
