Who's with me?

I'll pull for Delhomme as long as he is in there, but I didn't like the signing from day 1.

Wallce, on the other hand, I find intriguing.

I suppose Mangini will stay the course, but I just don't get the sense were going to get a late carreer Warner-esque push out of this guy. I'd love to be wrong though.

I'd take intriguing over a pile of interceptions, but I get your point, Wallace guarantees us nothing, although maybe we can steal a couple of plays from Michigan.

No thanks. Delhomme earned the spot and looked pretty damned good until the injury. Wallace only gets the start if Delhomme is injured worse than we know.

Next week, we're playing a bad team at home. Let's see how Delhomme does against the Chiefs before jumping ship.

I knew this thread was coming but I didn't figure you'd be the author, Ocon.

Ocon, it is a bit soon. I'm with Alo on this. Jake needs to be given a chance to find his stroke and the Chiefs should be just the ticket. If he gives away that game, then we can talk about Phase II of the season.

Why do we need to see another start by Delhomme to be sure?

The guy threw 8 TD and 18 INT last year and got cut by the QB-starved Panthers. He had all off-season to get healthy and ready for a fresh start.

He came out and did the EXACT same thing. He is who he is.

To start him again and expect anything other than another pitiful performance is the definition of insane.

It's not like we're calling for McCoy or some other inexperienced rookie. Wallace is more than capable and he's got upside.

START WALLACE.

Delhomme is literally the laughing stock of the NFL. For those of you who think he can/will play better, I'd bet the only thing he does is get worse. He's got MUCH worse up his sleeve, and we'll see it soon if we don't change.

And that point needs to be emphasized: from Week 3 on, we face Baltimore, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, New England, and the NY Jets.

If Delhomme continues to combust against bad defenses, he'll be awful against those good teams. He needs to turn it around next week...or things could get ugly.

If you needed to score quickly - like we did on the last 2 drives - why not put the guy with the best arm and quick feet into the game? Baffles me. I'm never gonna believe Jake is the future so why not risk hurting his feelings down on those last two drives?

I mean don't tell me he sucks. If Wallace sucks I will be pissed off. Believe that.

The thing that scares me... Gannon kept saying and he was right - Delhomme was close to 2 or 3 MORE INT'S by throwing into coverage that he didn't see.

His performance can get worse... and it will.
