I'm just not convinced he's going to be a potential starter down the road for us. Who's to say how he'll progress but as of yet, I am not expecting anything from him other than to ride the bench for us. I am just not as high up on the guy as a lot of you guys seem to be. That's cool too, I'd like to be proven wrong.

If we don't keep Rob Ryan... what about Bryan Cox as D-Coordinator? Is that too big a step or what? I am betting the guy could do a good job of it.
Believe it or not, Schaefering was rotating in with the starters for all of the 2nd part of 2009 and is still doing so early on in 2010. We're doing 2 man rotations for all 3 dline spots. Technically we can consider 6 different guys starters. Schaefering is solid depth that made some plays last year and I think we'll notice more of the same. There's no telling how good some young guys can get. 2 years ago I wouldn't have predicted Rubin would be better than Shaun Rogers as early as 2010; but there's no denying who's playing better at this time.

EE - GREAT idea about Cox! He's been a defensive captain for 2 different NFL playoff teams before he started coaching so he's got alot of depth and leadership qualities. It doesn't suck that he's played for legends like Shula, Parcells and BB either.

Well the thing about Cox is he's already got his foot in the coaching door so it's clearly something he's interested in. I always liked him as a player so I would love to see us keep him around and I would love to see him eventually given that kind of position, if the team has that kind of faith in him. I am sure he knows the game well enough that he can inspire these players.

Fair enough on Schaefering. I never said he wouldn't be a bad backup now. I just can't see him becoming a full-time starter for us. I would love to see him prove me wrong and breakout this year, much like Ruben last year.

Weeden gives us a QB with skills McCoy does not have.
Richardson gives us a HB with abilities the Browns have not seen in decades!
The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year.

WOOF WOOF WOOF!
