Default Kosar Says the Browns Just Don't Have Very Good Players

That oughta go over well in the locker room!

Browns notebook: Kosar says Browns need more talent - Canton, OH - CantonRep.com

Honestly, right now you'd say Thomas, Mack, maybe Lauvao (but who really knows), Evan Moore, Vickers, Rubin, Benard, Haden, Wright, and Ward are guys you could see still starting on a much better team in 2-3 years. I'd consider tossing in Gocong and Jackson, but it's too early to say on either. Both are young enough.

So that woud mean we really need 10-12 new starters on the 2012 team, including every offensive skill player except perhaps Moore.

This shit is actually starting to wear me out. Damn.

Damn Jerome, go suck it with your 3rd highest rushing total in a game.

Damn Hardesty, haven't even taken a snap and you're a fucking worthless piece of shit.

James Davis, don't even think about coming this way.

MoMass, Robo, you've had 4 quarterbacks in 18 games, why can't you fucking make those QB's look good?

God damn you fuckers suck ass so much.

/endsarcasm.

I love the Browns fans, I really do. Only we can take 7mo of high hopes and expectations and successfully flush it down the toilet in two weeks without so much of a double wipe on the ass.

I'm not gonna try and blow sunshine up anybody's ass, but we lost two close games. Yeah, it was Tampa and KC. So fucking what. Any given sunday. If people didn't have an inflated sense of the level of this team then those losses wouldn't hurt so badly. However not all is lost.

Football is a game of progression, players, and teams as a unit progress through the season. They gell, they evolve, they change. Declaring 0-16 right now is about as retarded as they come.

Take last year for example, at 1-11, nobody gave us a shot in hell at ending the season on a 4 game winning streak, but we fucking did it anyway.

I almost wish Balt had won Sunday so they'd be looking long past us, but Cincy had to fuck it up.

It can still be a trap game for them, and it's possible for us to get our shit together and play some ball. Listen, guys, we lost by 3 pts and 2 pts. When scores are that close, it comes down to 1 or 2 plays that change the outcome of the game. For us the story is turnovers. We protect the goddamn ball and we're 2-0 right now, and nobody in the national media is blowing Josh Freeman, but that's not the case. However after seeing the fucking godawful eggs we laid last year, I'm a long way from desperation or exasperation this season. We got a lot of football left to be played gentlemen.

Spec, I love your tenacity. I do. I think I used to have a lot more of that.

I didn't come into this season with nearly the hope I've mustered in the past, something I've only admitted openly to Alo. I just can't seem to fake it. I was stunned we didn't go out and find a #1 WR somehow... and I had diarrhea for a month when I heard Jake Delhomme was our big answer at QB.

Now, two games in against two teams likely to win as many as 4-5 games, we're 0-2. Again. Delhomme and Wallace should have been signed... by two different teams... as veteran backups. Robiskie's STILL trying to get open? I mean... come on.

At some point, we have to ask the serious question: What can this team do to seriously become competitive again? Certainly, it starts with getting a big time franchise quarterback in the top 2-3 picks, which I think we'll have access to.

Then we need to sign a free agent superstar receiver who isn't even remotely polite or quiet.

Then go from there.

PGL... that was funny. But I'm sure we can win without those pesky superstars.

Amen, brotha Spec! And Bernie: well, duh. Glad to see all your game film review was worthwhile.

But there's still WAAAAAYYYYYYY too much wailing and gnashing of teeth going on for Week 3, especially as Spec just pointed out (after some of us saying it the last 48 hours), we lost because we made Unforgivable Errors on offense. It's really that simple, no matter how much people try to pin it on the D.

Which leads me to...

I think we win this week. I really do.

The Ravens play mean, punishing defense but they suck on offense and can be hassled into mistakes, just like we can.

Oh, we're going to need a stronger, more creative game plan, less mistakes, better QB play and a little luck...but I believe we can do it and I believe we will.

I just don't see a 4-12 team on the field, I'm sorry. If they look at themselves and see that, well, that's on them and they'll make it happen that way. But I still see a 6-10 team, at minimum, that blew its chance at 8-8 with two bad losses and not a 2-14 team that could have been 4-12.

I know a lot of you disagree. But it's still only Week 3. We're missing our starting QB, whatever you think of him, which takes its toll. We have 2 rookies playing really well but they're still rookies so there will be bumps on the road. We're missing two formerly-important pieces on D in Rogers and DQJ.

Point? We're an incomplete team in what we knew was a rebuilding year.

EVERY week is a new week for a young team; no point reliving the past for them, nor for us.

And I'm still having a LOT more fun cheering on almost-wins instead of definite-losses. I'm looking forward to our first DEFINITE WIN this week!

I don't think we need to gnash our teeth... because we suck on offense too bad to even get pissed about it anymore. The defense? Much closer.

Walter has it about right, except Locker wouldn't go #1 right now:
