If you honestly believe that then I dont know what to say. He actually corrected a reporter in the middle of a sentence to say "I said Im not going to coach this year, thats all I will commit to."

He's a coach, he's not a guy to sit at a table to figure out what hot dogs they are going to sell at home games. Think about it.

I would imagine that we could put a deal together that would involve Shaun Rogers. Their defensive lineman have been dropping like flies as far as I know. Put him back at DT in a 4-3 and he will be disruptive. Rogers and a 2nd for Kolb I would do all day long.

But Arizona, Jac, 49ers could be getting in on the action.

I'm guessing we are picking top 10 again. Not sure I want to overpay for Kolb when this entire season could change a lot of things where the top 3 picks are occupied by teams who have a QB and we can't move up to their spot and grap the #1 guy we need. Because whatever you give for Kolb it shouldn't be so much that you must commit to him. I'd want us to be very thorough and extremely careful choosing "the guy."

We have to have QB for 2011. Let's make sure it's for 10 seasons instead of one more busted QB to add to the pile of 15 starters we've had since 1999.

But Vegas, that's the beauty of this whole thing. We won't overspend for Kolb UNLESS Heckert and Holmgren think he's the guy.

So, we either:

1) Pass on Kolb

2) Get Kolb in a steal and can still look to draft a QB next year

3) Pay up for Kolb, and forego a top rated QB in the draft

We'll only do 3 if the FO is convinced he's the guy. I feel real good about whatever we do here.

Yeah alot of the lacking spark with the offense I think is due to JDH being a stopgap and Wallace being a career backup. They don't give a shit enough to fire anyone up. You bring in a kid with talent, that the F.O. believes in who was just jerked around and screwed over? He's going to come in pissed, he's going to come in with something to prove, and he's going to come in happy to get the starters job and take charge of this team.

I love it. We need someone to grab this team and say "I AM your leader, follow me and let's go win some fucking games!"

With Kafka, I can't see them wanting Colt. I think they feel like they one-upped us on that already. I could see Wallace, though. Lots of WCO experience. Good point.

The 49ers? Why? Is your TV broke or something, or just on Monday nights?

Smith is younger, more experienced, and has accomplished more than Kolb. Makes no sense at all.

Yes I honestly truly believe him when he says he's going to step back and help out Heckert whenever he can. He stepped back from the draft aside from Freckles and let H&M do their jobs. If we move on I think he let's Heckert make the coaching choice only stepping in to mentor the new guy on offense.

I think Heckert has already shown his hand: He loves Kolb and thinks he's a superstar in the WCO. I'm betting he has the Walrus' full backing. I think if he can be had? We'll be willing to pay up.

I also wish we had Dez or Demaryius right now. Two big WCO guys who can YAC all day long. But maybe we can get one in the next draft and really be cooking next year.

Alex Smith is a bum. He has done nothing. He had a decnet game on Monday night I hear (I did not watch it) but Ive seen enough from him and he is what he is. I know you have a crush on him but I cant see it. Didnt he still throw 2 int's in that game?

Plus, Singletary hates the guy. Can and will not say anything good about him. At least I havent heard it.
