Hello Vegas,

This post has me scratching my head.

You do know that Jerome is still much loved but also injured?

We don't know if he'll be playing Sunday or not AFAIK.

I just don't get the notion of Jerome being benched. Did anyone suggest that?

Are you suggesting that having only two running backs handle the carries is the only way it

can be done?

What is so silly about the notion of using three running backs and none of them regarded

as a backup?

Call me silly or simple if it's appropriate . . . but I don't get it.

When they passed on him at 38, I literally crapped myself and threw up at the same time."

The same arguments people made for starting Harrison are now saying Harrison should step aside and let Davis give it a try. Not sure three RB's on this particular team would work because we don't have the ball for enough plays on offense.

I think Momass is one of our big playmakers..he average near 18 yards per play last year.. no one else is even close to that.. how is that not named as one of our top guys? We need to scheme to get him there. He is a work in process on his routes.. and needs to be more consistent, but he's gaining experience each week. I have high hopes for this kid... Thankfully we have 2 qb's that can reasonably get the ball downfield.

Something's missing with Mo and I can't quite put my finger on it. He's not quite Robiskie slow (as far as game speed and in/out of cuts), but he seems to struggle getting open.

I'm psyched to see James Davis get a chance again. I'm pulling for the kid.

Momass is suffering from the same things that held him back last year, Apathy, and ball adjustments.

At least Robo goes hard every play

Always the saviors on the bench, I tell ya.

Execution vs Playmakers. Such a quandry for fans.
No not hero's on the bench but a little mixing things up to get the mismatches most OC's are looking for, changing routes with different WR's and different unexpected player sets and speeds, forcing defenses to have to constantly stay off balance, and if you are good you can get the mismatches and desirable matchups its called playing smart when you dont exactly have the best talent in the world and you can at least look like you are trying to work with every tool at your disposal, and win or lose nobody can say it was from a lack of good coaching at that point..
And ya execution is key from the players end and the coach can do nothing once the ball is snapped but there is much the coaches can do before and after the snap and that is their job...ours fail to do anything other than stick to the plan and that causes problems for the players when the defense basically knows your plan because it is predictable and somewhat repetitive..this isnt highschool football like what i coached you cant get by with this kind of lame duck playcalling in the nfl especially if you are somewhat talent deficient ,you have to have a plan that matches what you have vs what they have not a one size fits all solution with only minor adjustments from week to week or half to half...
