Default Is it time to Trade Eric Wright?

Well folks I dont know about the rest of you but ive had enough Eric Wright...He looked tired, slow and uninspired to play football...he was tenative and actually looked like he didnt even care...Or even wanted to be there...This is disgraceful and unacceptable. He looked non chalant....Hes definately not carrying his end....replacement sorely needed.

After todays game I'm sure the offers are just rolling in for Eric Wright's services.

The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year.

Yah well, I agree with you ....I made a comment in the chatbox that it looked like Vegas payed him off. He wasn't trying at all on some plays. That being said, we don't have much to replace him with right now.

The time to trade him was before this game.

Indeed. Maybe we can put him in some kind of package to trade.

Eric Wright failed to show up today and mistake after deadly mistake. I found myself screaming at the TV after every TD he gave up wondering why his ass wasn't parked on the bench after TD #2!

I think the time has come for our #7 pick to start and Wright can be our nickle corner until further notice.

He should be good in trade for a Mike Oliphant rookie card.

Of course, the moment he puts on a different jersey, he'll start playing like a pro-bowler.

That's just it, the little fucker is talented but it takes big time effort to be good.

He should have been yanked today for Haden, plain and simple.

I don't need to hear the coaching staff sticking up for him this week either. He cost us that game today. I say move him, he will be gone after the year anyway.

You've been hiding yourself pretty good.

You know, knock on Wright all you want he had a bad game. He took the responsibility of the loss square on his shoulders. It's not too often you see a player single himself out like that, especially after a tough, hard fought game. Eric's a professional and he should've been more inclined maybe after the first, or second time he got burned but Boldin pretty much made him his bitch so that's all there is to that.

He's just got to go out there next week and shut 'em down, but this will begin a freight train of momentum against him that will be hard for him to dismiss. I'm not giving up on a player after one bad game. If this is a pattern we see continue, then I will start to scratch my head but I'm not ready to throw Eric Wright to the wolves just yet.

I think this will make him a target of opposing teams, are we going to see teams challenge Wright, and force him to beat them or are they going to expose Wright as a weakness to our D like Baltimore arguably did a great job of doing today? I don't know... but I trust Wright will want to bounce back after a showing like he had. He needs to, now more than ever, have a big game and remind us why some were brave enough to consider him a top-tier cornerback...

That assertion seems ludicrous today.
