Fluges and I were talking today... and with Delhomme looking like Bambi wandering into a lion's den, you'd think they would trust their 3rd round pick who was in camp on time to play a little better than what we saw in the second half. Trotting out Delhomme felt like a surrender. Don't draft the kid if you don't think he can play at all. Last edited by Shep; 10-10-2010 at 07:27 PM. |

| JD healthy hasn't been good in a while; JD on a bum ankle that seems REALLY slow to heal is not viable at all. Not an option. McCoy started 48 games in college, got into camp on time, and has been running this offense since last May. Why can't he put in a credible performance for a half? Is it mental or physical? Don't get me started. Neither Delhomme nor McCoy made any sense to me. And if you think I'm celebrating being right, you clearly aren't paying attention. I'm pissed. |

Shep.. you just seem to ENJOY telling us how pissed you are.. a bit too much.. .. Like in every stinkin thread.. I don't think many of the regulars believe you. You don't seem to have any objectivity on Delhome whatsoever. You can tell us you do.. but it just feels like a line. You really should just drop it.. I know I'm not the first making that request. But we also know your like a dog with a bone.. so we will continue to read your delhomme hate in every thread. As for McCoy.. keeping him on the bench is the right thing to do.

Any stud qb coming into brownstown is gonna have the weight of the world on his shoulders from day 1. All our talk of getting through possibly 2 years with this qb crew is pretty much done with. Seems like we might have to mortgage the farm this year.

It's turning out about how I expected and I'm sick of it. I'm sorry if that annoys anybody, but when we got Holmgren, I really expected us to fix the QB and WR positions and field a 21st century passing game. We got a 6th round WR, Freckles, and a fragile, washed-up 35-year-old. Maybe that makes sense to some of you... it doesn't to me. And I haven't had the joy of being pleasantly surprised. I know I'm being a little unreasonable. I don't think Clausen has looked very good and we couldn't get Bradford. But I'm tired of being the worst at the thing that Holmgren said you must do well to win in this league: passing the football. |

Shep has a point on McCoy, unfortunately. (The only point on JD right now that is reasonable is the one that says "isn't healthy".) The guy didn't 't look like a QB. He looks worse than Quinn, and that's saying something. We are in for a whooping next week if SW and PH can't go. JD will not last against Steelers blitzes and McCoy would be questioning his career choice if we play him. I'd seriously try to get Ratliff back before putting McCoy in. |
