Come on RAC 'n ROLLS couldn't stand the kid either. He obviously doesn't have the fire that's needed to be a big time player with his talent and as Veg said, he also has developed a nice little fumbling problem.

Why do people keep saying JH had developed a fumbling problem? He dropped the ball in preseason games. Last time I checked, Hillis has put the rock on the ground in real games more times than JH. Obviously though Hillis has gotten more touches.

You could say the exact thing about Hillis and fumbling. The thing is, both cases are not valid.

RAC played an aging Jamal Lewis over him. And all Tippy Toes did was get stopped at the LOS. There's no way you or anyone else here can say they preferred that to what Harrison offered.

Look, the guy ran for 561 yards in the last 3 games when we ran the ball repeatedly up the middle. He broke multiple tackles for extra yardage and had no trouble getting to the second level because he hit the hole fast. And now that he's had only a couple snaps a game, given no confidence from the coaching staff, and not allowed to get in a rhythm, suddenly he's not a big time player? I'm not gonna start comparing Harrison to Chris Johnson but comeon!

We cannot be talking about the same person, here.

He was fumbling all over the place this year Mik. I'll give Hillis a few, and I figure the Tampa game to the intense heat and sweaty balls. Hillis does need to clean that up a little, but it's fair to say that fumbling was a big issue with the coaching staff toward Harrison. The one he was down and was a bad call, but he was dropping it way too much for the amount of touches. It's not like he was running hard either.

If you watched those last four games last year, there's zero doubt that Harrison can play. It wasn't a dream or something. Given the carries and a chance to get in a groove, he's a very good little back. He didn't gain the 1,900 yards his senior year by mirage, either.

We obviously got robbed, but I think we did it with our eyes wide open. I'm guessing an agent talked to the Browns and said Harrison had zero intention of being in Cleveland next year.

Bullshit. Both Harrison and Hillis have 4 fumbles in their entire carreer.

I'm actually quite happy to see JH go, simply because he clearly wasn't contributing here, for whatever reason. And if it's true that he was dogging it, we doubly don't need him (nor does he fit) on a team that clearly plays hard and together.

Assuming Mike Bell is healthy, he should be an upgrade and a potentially important one this weekend.

Sounds good to me.

RAC 'n ROLLS looked at Harrison the same way as Mangini if not worse. He didn't like that he didn't want to play specials or learn to block in the backfield. I thought this was pretty much fact known by everybody. Another knock is he doesn't practice hard. The one summer he spent busting ass with Lewis probably kept him in the league.

Would you prefer he gets his rhythm by taking most of Hillis' carries? Not me, and again, I wouldn't compare Hillis putting it on the ground to the way Jerome was.

Oh god.... I just realized that we got Mike Bell for him.

Oh god. The guy has played for what, 5 different teams? Even after a decent year with the Saints, they chose to not re-sign him. He's a JAG through and through.

Well..... Mangini wants his bruiser backs... Bell is 6 foot and 225 pounds.

Harrison put two on the ground in one limited preseason game. It was an issue, huge.

If Hillis continues to do it, it will be an issue too.

If you can gain 1,900 yards in one college season or 570 yard in three regular season NFL games... how does any of that other shit mean anything?

That's like saying Michael Jordan can't change a tire.

Well, whenever I got on one of my man love Harrison kicks I always said he ran for two grand. All that means nothing now. The guy was gone at the end of the year guys.

You guys sound like he should have been playing over Hillis or something. How about the fact that we got Hillis for less than a bag of RAC's favorite pastries. This guy is a witch and we are worrying about Harrison?

He pouted his way out of town, plain and simple. I live around here and there was a lot of people bitching about him. I even argued with Flugs as late as last week about Jerome being the man, but then he ran like a little bitch against Atlanta and that ddid it for me. We needed that game and he didn't care. He sucked so bad Hillis had to gut it out huge.
