Yes, we are getting closer Danamal. We are fighting on every down, there is no quit on this team compared to years past where you would definately see the effort on the field decline as a game was slipping away. All of us undervalue the "talent" on the team and say that the other teams are "more talented" but we put in more effort and I disagree with this assertion. I think we ARE a talented team that is growing more cohesive with each game. Players like Hillis and Ward have stepped up on both sides of the ball and are making big plays for us. I think this team shows a lot more poise than maybe any team in the last decade that's worn the Brown and Orange but also more than that there is a TRUE potential on this team. It will only continue to get better and as we add pieces to the puzzle to complete the team, we will grow stronger.

Richardson gives us a HB with abilities the Browns have not seen in decades! The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year. WOOF WOOF WOOF! ![]() |

I find it kind of sad that we have to hang our hats on the fact that the team is "fighting" or "playing hard" or "trying really hard." They're NFL players, and they could whipe their asses with thousand dollar bills with the money they get paid to play hard. Then again, I guess it's saying more about the teams of previous years than it is about this one. I'm so tired of spending Sunday nights and Monday mornings consoling myself with thoughts of, "well at least they tried!" All that said, they're not getting blown out and are hanging in there with teams that are better than them. It's better than seeing them give up. It is early in Mangini's second year and it's not like they have a ton of talent. But I won't be happy saying in the offseason "well they were '4-12' but at least they fought hard!" No, I want wins. At some point, maybe it won't be until later in the season, they've got to start winning some games. |

I won't be happy with 4-12 either, Dirty. But the fact of the matter is, why can't we be proud that our team is showing a genuine effort on the field? Especially compared to last season where there were games where I wondered why we even bothered putting on the pads we looked so terrible out there. I want wins, but as it's been proven so far this season, this is not a team that can win football games without everything falling into their favor. Mistakes and turnovers have cost us football games, and really I don't see that changing. My 7-9 prediction seems so long ago now.
