Living 60 miles North of the Alabama border I never heard of Cam Newton until Auburn had a 4-0 record under their belt. I'm guessing MOST people on this board can say the same thing. That's considerably different than reading Pryor is better than Vince Young before he even plays his first game in college. For the record, VY won his National Championship as a JUNIOR and he was the #1 rated passer in college football. Not a misprint!

Let's face it - this guy shreds the candyasses and lays eggs vrs the elite. At least Troy Smith made Ohio State the best team in the Big 10. He had to earn his credibility though.

Pryor is a decent QB, but doesn't have the throwing ability like was hoped. Nice runner though.

I have been busting on Pryor for a long time but he wasn't the only reason for the loss yesterday. Once again (WTF is going on here?) special teams gave up another TD! Wisconsin's O-line made the Buckeyes much publisized D-line look like soggy, limp cereal after spending too much time in milk. The Bucks secondary got beat badly whenever it seemed they needed to make a play.

Give Wisconsin props for having a good game plan and out performing the over confident Buckeyes

Very good points! The STs sound like they've been a disaster.

The one area I think that always seems to disappoint me with Ohio State ever since it got exposed vrs Florida was how little prepared the defense is when they face the elite schools outside the Big 10.

And to be honest, I REALLY wish BrentMusberger would stop saying "and this is the nation's best defense that only allows 78 yards a game." When he does that crap before thety play teams that will finish in the top 20, I gotta listen to all the sports radio call in shows where fans ask if Musberger understands those numbers gat warped by the Porcupine States and Eastern Michigans. It still doesn't excuse Bama for losing to a team Kentucky can beat just 1 week later IMO. You can reason with the Billy Bobs playing hookey from work because their college teams lost though.

I hope Tressell can get the program to the next level because it's getting sort of stale when they play the who's who level. Wisconsin beat the tar out of them between the tackles as they owned the line of scrimmage. The time of possession might have told more of the story than the scoreboard. And if the STs are starting to drop off - is this something to get concerned about? It makes me wonder how well their competing in the recruiting wars. I'll be honest, I think Kirk Ferentz is doing more with alot less when you factor in the intrigue for a kid to go to some college surrounded but nothing but country and cornfields. Think about it. When you're 18 and you're a hotshot on scholarship - you want to go where the hotties are. Who's thinking Iowa? Dallas Clark was, Bob Sanders was, Eric Steinbach was, Matt Roth was, Shonn Green was, Chad Greenway was, Tony Meoki was...

Sounds kind of absurd saying winning the Big 10 all the time is getting stale when I take alook at how often the Browns wins. I say this in the sense that it would be nice to make that last step one of these years. If that Oregon team OSU beat last year goes and beats someone in a shootout for the national Championship - we're gonna be left thinking that SHOULD have been Ohio State.

I think the Buckeyes need some new blood at O & D coordinator positions. Time to throw your loyalties to the curb Tress, you're doing yourself no favors. Bollman is a joke.

Due to technical problems down here in Cuba we couldnt get the game on until it was.... shocker... 14-0 Wisconsin. All the while I was talking smack to Texas fans about how they fell off this year.... Game gets turned on and i spent the next three hours praying Pryor could save us and he couldn't. Defense sucks, ST sucked, but that doesn't excuse Pryor. HE SUCKED TOO.
