It seems our linebacking corps is pretty solid and playing well against the run, is he the odd man out? Roth/Barton/Gocong/Fujita seem to be solid starters and we still have Trusnik,Bowens and Bernard coming off the bench. Do you start DQ or have him come off the bench as a rotational player?

I could be wrong but wasnt DQ one of the ones with a 2nd round tender on them? And noone was interested? I dont think DQ healthy is a legit starter on a good D, Thats just my opinion. I think he'd be great rotation but thats about it. Not sure we could get much for him wed probly be better off keeping him for depth

The Browns did give second-round tenders -- a guaranteed $1.75 million salary for next season -- to running back Jerome Harrison; linebackers D'Qwell Jackson, Matt Roth and Jason Trusnik; safety Abram Elam and fullback Lawrence Vickers. Those players can sign offer sheets with other teams, but the Browns would have seven days to match the offer or they will receive a second-round draft pick as compensation.

Injury-plagued Pool not among six players tendered by Browns

I think we would be kind of crazy to let him go to be honest. Our LB core has a lot of older players but DQJ is right in his prime (27) and we could get a few more years out of him I think where as other players like Bowen, Barton or even Fujita (who is 31) are getting on in years. I can't see us getting DQJ without having our sights on a legitimate replacement. I can't deny that the defense has a certain tenacity when both he and Marcus Bernard are on the field... They don't look the same without those players.

The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year.
