Preparations for the Patriots have been peppered with some good laughs about the Patriots days several Browns coaches shared with Eric Mangini.

“Some funny stuff ... nothing I can really share,” Mangini said Friday. “It would make a good headline.”

The mood among coaches and players is upbeat.

Somebody asked linebacker David Bowens if his two pick-sixes at New Orleans were the result of being a next-seat locker neighbor of wide receiver Brian Robiskie.

Robiskie butted in: “No. If he’d been learning, he would have had better end zone celebrations.”

• Ryan spent four years as Belichick’s linebackers coach in New England, learning plenty but not growing especially close. “We’re different,” Ryan said. “I never hung out or drank beers with him or anything, but I always admired him.”

I find it funny that Robiskie is grilling Bowens on TD's since Bowens is two up on Robo right now...

Rogers helped our defense immensely and we will need him to continue his success for this team to thrive against New England. He's been a bit banged up so I've been cutting him some slack but he's been making big plays every game, the stats don't always tell the whole story. Rubin's impact with our D has enabled Rogers I think as well.
