I have seen Rams V Broncos in 1989 (I think)

then New England Patroits V Tampa Bay and San Diego V New Orleans.

Don't care who is playing as long game is entertaining. I will watch any teams apart from the horrible Pittsburgh Steelers (They make me puke).

Legendary, I think most if not all of us share that sentiment with you.

Smith leads San Fran to 24-16 win over Denver in London

October 31st, 2010 DJ Boursiquot Posted in Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers

Troy Smith played a mistake-free game in his debut for the 49ers and would lead his team to victory at London’s Wembley Stadium. Troy Smith, seeing action in his first NFL game of this season completed 12 of 19 passes for 196 yards and 1 touchdown. Smith also ran for a touchdown.
The first half of the game started out slow both teams and the 49ers had a 3-0 lead heading into halftime. In the second half, the teams made things interesting for the British fans in attendance. The scoring started with the Broncos in the third quarter on a Tim Tebow 1-yard touchdown run. After another Broncos score on a Matt Prater field goal, Smith would have a 1-yard touchdown run of his own to tie the game at 10 apiece.
Smith’s touchdown run would be the first of three touchdown drives for the Niners. The second touchdown was a 28-yard pass from Smith to Crabtree. Frank Gore would make the game 24-10 on a 3-yard run with just less than four minutes remaining.
Gore finished the game with 118 rushing yards. The offense still has some work to do but one has to be encouraged by the relative progress they have made since the beginning of the season. With a Bye Week coming up, here is hoping that the coaching staff really gets their stuff together and start the second half of the season with a bang.
In all, while it took Troy Smith and the offense three quarters to find their groove, I am impressed by what he showed. Smith did more than manage the game and he did not force any plays that would lead to mistakes. I do not want to get ahead of myself, but if Smith continues at this pace, the 49ers will be competitive in the games they have left. While I am not suggesting that Troy Smith should become our quarterback of the future, I think his success may spell the end of Alex Smith’s career in San Francisco.
One of these Smiths aint like the other.....

Glad to see Troy have a strong showing, I'm happy for him.

Seems like almost every opportunity this kid ever gets to prove himself, he does.

It is a good day out and my friend Robert enjoyed his game and he seen his first NFL game and first time at Wembley and support 49ers for years.

I think the first 40 minutes it is a dull game then it came alive

Legendary, I'm glad you got to see a game close to home. I got to see the 49ers and Steelers in '93 at Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, very different atmosphere for an American football game in Spain.

Looks like Smith might be the starter for the rest of the year after his performance on Sunday, Troy that is not Alex. Somewhere Shep is still defending Alex Smith saying "all he needs is a chance, he is a good QB!"

Glad to see Troy Smith grabbed the bull by the horn's and made the most of his opportunity. I hope he can keep that going for the rest of the season, he's a QB that you can't help but cheer for. I wanted us to bring him in here last offseason but I bet that just wasn't in the cards pre-trading away both of our QB's (well, releasing DA...) and that wasn't in the cards and we eventually picked up the more experienced incarnations of Derek Anderson and Troy Smith in JDH and Seneca so...

Good for Troy! If he can beat out Alex Smith for that job, and keep it. That would be great. I am cheering for the kid, and maybe he can keep getting San Fran some much needed wins. That was supposed to be their division this year.

Weeden gives us a QB with skills McCoy does not have.
Richardson gives us a HB with abilities the Browns have not seen in decades!
The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year.

WOOF WOOF WOOF!
