Default Ex-Brown Watch: DA & Quinn

i don't have sunday ticket, so i didn't see the whole game, but i did get to see about the last six minutes of the cards-bucs game yesterday, and it was vintage DA, the good and the bad. he threw crisp, clean passes that spun beautifully. he hit receivers in stride over the middle. he faced pressure and never let it faze him once. he led the cards on a drive with four minutes left from their own territory to the bucs' red zone. he didn't see the corner lurking underneath larry fitzgerald and threw an easy pick for his first interception.

the cards' D stopped the bucs, one last chance for a game-tying drive. with slight pressure around him, after cleanly receiving the snap, anderson got nervous, flubbed the ball, almost dropped it, somehow held on, then dropped it again. it was snatched out of the air by a lineman, who quickly went down, draining 30 seconds off the clock.

six seconds left. from about his own 30, DA throws to larry firgerald...at the bucs' 40. game over.

i heard quinn's name a few times, too, during the broadcast of the niners' game. he was on the sidelines, where he belongs. made me smile.

Quinn belongs at home.

Not even UFL.

I don't have Sunday Ticket either but got to watch a good bit of the end of the game on Red Zone.

DA is....DA.

At least Quinn isn't on national TV embarrassing himself on a regular basis or becoming the laughing stock of the NFL.

Honestly, it was painful to watch.

I really had some empathy for DA after his horrifically bone-headed pick that cost his team a tying FG. I mean it was an epically bad decision. He knew it. He puts his hands to his helmet in the "What have I done!?!?!?!" look.

The game simply won't ever slow down enough for him to be a quality decision maker. Its just not in his DNA.

Neither of these players have any kind of an NFL future. Quinn is lower than Tebow on the depth chart... Cardinals fans are getting a true dose of Derek Anderson.

Next.

JD, that was DA's 2nd pick of the day. The first one wasn't really his fault but still counts as his pick.

edit: I laughed my ass off when he threw that pick as I thought it's good to see him screwing over a different team now.

Quinn is only not embarrassing himself because he is worse than Derek. Truly he is. You have to throw a pass more than 10 yards. I mean Derek has the worst decision making ever but Quinn doesn't have the FUNDAMENTALS to even COMPETE and start in the NFL. That's why he got booted so quick here.

I was listening on the radio.. DA is in field goal range..down by 3.. can tie the game from where they are.. (don't do anything dumb, don't force it.. you can still tie with a fielgoal DA)..... DA takes the snap.. nothing there...does he throw it away ... so they can tie the game with a FG??????...NOOOOOOOOO DA forces it in and throws the interception; game over... My wife and I just started laughing..

We are in Arizona.. and the radio announcers said.. DA throws the INT so matter of factly.. it's like they were not surprised either... It was priceless.

Don't know what game you were listening to.....

He ended the game by completing a pass to fitzgerald who didn't get out of bounds in time. They were not in field goal range.+

Lumbergh would still say Anderson is the best qb in the league. It's the receiver's fault.
