doesnt work homie Ive been in many organizations, and a move like that almost always divides a workforce/locker room/team there is an internal power struggle if that move is made. Players go to Holmgren instead of mangini about issues, people take sides, next thing you know its split right down the middle

We're only half way through the season. In spite of how much has already happened, there is still just as much ahead as there is behind . . . only now we have the added element of snow. No, we don't know when it's going to fall, but it will. They've already been reworking the RB position. This bodes well for running in the snow. Coaching changes will be based on the whole season. Not half of it. The second half should look better than the first half. Looking towards next season: There is a reason Mr. H wanted his former long time OC at his disposal in the organization. Gil Haskell knows what Mr. H expects from the offense. He's absolutely the most likely choice to replace Daboll. I believe the president's position will continue to be occupied by Mr. H. That's what Lerner hired him to be. Carl Smith might be replaced, by none other than Holmgren himself. Coaching QBs is still coaching. If he can also find enough time to coach QBs, then Lerner will be getting a bargain. I believe Mangini will be back and will have to bite his tongue in regards to the offensive game plans next season.

If Holmgren added QB coach to his responsibility that would be interesting. We all know he has a certain interest in the QB position. I think having a positive influence at QB for those players be it Holmgren or another coach, would be great for the QB's. I don't really think we have a coach on our staff who is a "QB Guy" even Carl Smith. Could that be a reason as to why that position has been a weak point to this team for so long? I think it's clear Holmgren has an interest in how well Colt McCoy plays for this team. I don't see Colt playing as a win or lose, he either becomes our starter or our backup, either way having Colt on the depth chart offers us some security that we have not had. A rookie QB with legitimate promise over physical attributes that stand out. He's quick on his feet and he's more accurate a passer that BQ and DA... I think if our offense continues to stagnate. The team will have no choice but to get a new offensive co-ordinator, and make some serious moves in the draft to bring in some players with some playmaking potential rather than hope. A fast WR who can catch, rather than a REALLY fast reciever who can't. Another Lineman or two, and that's just on the offense.

Richardson gives us a HB with abilities the Browns have not seen in decades! The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year. WOOF WOOF WOOF! ![]() |

your responses emphasise my motive... somethings gotta give soon our offense is ranked 31st. i'm not gonna start the lynch mob for anyone in particular but some support or backing is gonna be needed to move to the next level with what we've got. these guys make tons of money and will do just fine if fired or let go, i'm gonna lay low for a few weeks as far as bashing anyone. But a true leader needs to emerge from the Browns soon or we are still a team trying to just find its way. By the way, I got the best seats in the house for the Car. game!!! Lets just say, it's catered.(loge) Could be rubbin elbows with some important people!!(well maybe not that important

Holmgren is not a good solution. Dab's needs to ride out the year..then be replaced.. His system is in.. so.. we have to roll with that for this year. Then Holmgren will need to force Mangini to can him and bring in someone else.. I do not see Mangini losing his job over loyalty to Dabs... simple solution.. Or.. Holmgren can's Mangini and the whole group.. I'd like to see Ryan stay.. Not sure if he gets a HC job.. I don't think he is there yet. He is not a "face of the organization" kind of guy.

I've been saying the same thing over and over since the start of last season, Smith is a better oc than qb coach, and he's a failure as an oc.

If anybody honestly believes Holmgren will lower himself to be the QB Coach next year then they need to lay off the pipe for a while until their head clears. You might as well tell Obama to go back to being a senator - "Hey you were pretty good at your previous job so why don't you give up the Presidency and go back to what you do best."
