Lots of feel good stuff out there today about our Browns...I liked this one: (check out the stuff about the trick play before the half and some details on the Hillis trade) Quote:

Again, I hate the Aaron Rodgers model. The sideline thing is best for collecting rust and slipping backward, IMHO. It may be good for the first month or so, but then it's time to let'er rip.

Just a side comment concerning Cribbs' handoff to Stuckey. It really was a thing of beauty. I had to watch the replay a couple of times to see how deftly he got the ball into Stuckey's gut. Beautiful. And his great block on McCoys TD. The guy gives his all every snap. Cribbs, McCoy, Hillis. Not bad. Just goes to show you don't need a roster of stars (just look at Dallas). You need a TEAM that plays 4 quarters together. But I'm thinking they'll become better known sooner rather than later.

Highway: Thanks for the article..pretty cool.. In regards to his confidence they discuss in this article.. The main thing I liked about McCoy. prior to the draft....It was not his size, or cannon arm, acuracy..any of those things.. I did not like this QB class as anyone who read in the offseason can confirm..but I said IF we get anyone..I wanted McCoy.. Why??? ..because he won.. and he won a lot, a WHOLE lot, and with a bigtime program. I was not convinced he would do much..but I felt he had the best upside of a poor QB class because of his winning background and history of bigtime games with a bigtime school.. It's fun when someone makes you look right..so far he seems to be doing just that.. I could care less about being right.. I just want the Browns to start being a playoff team again. Here is to him progressing as the season and his career continue!!!!!!!!!!

The Bandwagon is getting full fast. I just found this on McCoy by Mike Judge..cbs sports 1. I don't care if Cleveland quarterback Seneca Wallace is good to go this week. He doesn't play. Colt McCoy does, and he stays in there the rest of the season. Seeing is believing with this guy, and watching him dissect New England convinced me the Browns may have their quarterback for the future. I know, he has a résumé with only three starts, but look what he's done -- knock off defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans one game, then stun New England the next. What's more, he quarterbacked a Cleveland team that exceeded 30 points in consecutive games for the first time since 2004. OK, so the defense won the New Orleans game. Sunday's upset doesn't happen without McCoy, who hit five of seven third-down passes -- including four for first downs -- and scrambled for a touchdown. The Browns scored on four drives of 60 or more yards, with one of 13 plays, another of 10 and a third of nine. That's not supposed to happen to New England, and it's not supposed to happen to New England when it tackles a rookie quarterback. But it just did. WOW.. nice 3rd down numbers Colt.. long time consuming drives.. kept Brady off the field.. nice job Hillis and the OL..

Media will jump on the team as we continue to win games and play well. A lot of media are looking at the 'uglier' teams and giving them a lot of attention since the 'hot' picks like Dallas, San Fran, Cinci, ect, are playing like garbage, and really there's only so many stories that can be told about the 'good teams' so you move on to the teams who show a lot of hope. I think the fact that we seem to be clicking as a whole team, from the top down, is making the Browns a popular pick, maybe we can set an example on how to turn a team around for once rather than continue to write the book on how to run a franchise into the ground.

Richardson gives us a HB with abilities the Browns have not seen in decades! The message is clear, we want to score more than 13.6 PPG this year. WOOF WOOF WOOF! ![]() |
