I'm listening to the Plain Dealer's new Internet station at:
DSN: Listen live and chat | cleveland.com

There is also a chatroom there. Info coming in.

Strange. One of those wide ranging things. Could be a little low glucose (no big deal) or could be a huge deal. We'll have to watch the info trickle in.

The Flu is starting to run rampant in my family, getting to be that time of year again.
Maybe it's dehydration and he's going to get an IV and be kept under observation.

Hope he's alright.

Tob is probably right, sounds like Dehydration. Hopefully that's all it is, although that can be dangerous as well. Keep drinking those fluids!

Edit - If it was BEFORE practice, glucose levels sound more likely to me. But what do I know.

I'm just thinking it was dehydration brought on by sickness.
They had to keep my sister's boyfriend in the hospital overnight for it a few days ago.
Nothing major, saline IV, couple rounds of antibiotics, sent him home and told him to drink plenty of water and Gatorade/ Powerade, and rest for a few days.

And one of my cousins got hit, same thing yesterday, but since his wife is a nurse they caught it early enough to not have to stay in the hospital overnight.

Still no word on what happened to him but it looks as though he will be released from the hospital soon.

Marcus Benard’s status “promising”

Posted by Mike Florio on November 11, 2010, 6:05 PM EST
On Thursday, Browns linebacker Marcus Benard reportedly collapsed in the locker room, and he was taken to a hospital for testing.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Benard’s status “seems promising.” Precautionary testing is being conducted to rule out any problems, but the feeling for now is that he will be fine.
More information is expected to come on Friday. At this point, Benard is optimistic.
Signed as an undrafted free agent in 2009, Benard played in six games last year. He has played in seven this year, with one start.
UPDATE: Contrary to an Associated Press report indicating that Benard has been released from the hospital, Browns spokesman Neal Gulkis says that Benard remains hospitalized. The Browns and Benard are hopeful that he will be released from the hospital later tonight, after testing is completed.

Will he play Sunday? If not, how much impact will this have on our pass rush?
I'd prefer he does an amazing recovery for this one.
