Default Well, we're back to normal with this Jets game

No trick plays? No creative playcalling? Calling the same running plays over and over? Horrible coverage by Wright? A completely pathetic offensive showing? Watching our players miss tackles all day?

Yea, we're back to normal this week.

EDIT: Excuse me.... I'm just pretty frustrated right now... mostly at our offense.

Yea, we're back to normal this week.

Really?

Completely pathetic?

Wow...were you watching the same game?

Yeah, we lost but we were NOT completely pathetic in ANY way.

Colt once again made no mistakes. He was poised and effective and ran confidently up the field on long drives. That hasn't been "normal" for us for a few years now.

Cribbs was out and hurt. Our WR's aren't the best (but God love 'em they do TRY).

Our D played well as far as I'm concerned...this was not a walk away blowout game.

We were IN this game right up to the end. One small mistake (Stuckey not stepping out of bounds) and we could have won the game.

People were saying that the Jets are better than the Pats and the Saints...and we played them hard. And we were so close.

No. This is not normal. This is football. And we have a team we can be proud of.

Edit: Frustration is okay Wombat...but we did good today, even if the scoreboard doesn't show it.

We lost this game because we were outmatched talent wise, no other way to cut it

they had bigger faster stronger players

we just lack speed and talent

LT was a huge part of their win today, we couldnt stop him

Good post. MoMass has been a ghost this season and I thought Evan Moore SHOULD have been played more at WR. It would have been a better machup against Revis than MoMass.

We lost this game because stuckey wanted a couple extra inches and we were outmatched, the coaching was excellent and the playcalling as well...
Nevertheless its nice to have competitive football again this team should make us all proud!

LT had just 57 yards on the ground but he had 53 receiving, why didn't we use more screens?. We played with them although most of the time, they were on our side of the field. The D held more than I thought they could. What killed us was that f^^^kin fumble. Damn I'm so pi**d off about that. I JUST WANT TO PUNCH SOMEONE IN THE MOUTH. I just know who.

This was another great game. The team showed guts the whole way.

Trick plays.. we did a double reverse , and tried an onside kick.. you can't live every week on trick plays.. but we did try them..

The Jets put a 10+ minute drive up in the 3rd quarter..missed the field goal.. we got the ball back and went 3 and out.. our totally exhausted defense went back on the field and still kept us in the game..I do have to say after that 10 minute drive I wanted to see two runs in a row to give us a 3rd and managable.. that's my big complaint there. We put our D in a terrible position by having them go right back out on the field.

Our D just does not hold up well to the real power running teams like the Jets.. I give the Jets credit..They probably have the best OL we have faced all year. They were doing a great job on us. We need more muscle at the MLB spots, and better DE's.. but we still kept ourselves in the game with smart football. We nearly snuck a win on a superior team... It's dissapointing in some ways and encouraging in others.

Haden again looked good.. and stood tall when Sheldon Brown went down.. He is going to be a good one.

Colt was amazing at the end of the game. This kid's poise is impressive.

These numbers seem pretty balanced really. Its just a shame since we had sure footed Phil Dawson on the 28 yard line if Stuckey hadn't fumbled.

It could have been worse. Braylon could have run in the last TD, but then again, he had Haden on him, not Wright like Holmes did.

Sanchez 27-44, 299 yds, 2 tds
Greene 20 car, 72 yds, 0 tds
Holmes 5 rec, 76 yds, 1 td

McCoy 18-31, 205 yds, 1 td
Hillis 19 car, 82 yds, 1 td
Watson 5 rec, 74 yds, 0 tds

For the first time in the history of ever, I agree with PGL. If Colt had the Jets' WRs, we would have won that game.

Getting a true #1 WR is our top need for next offseason. Fortunately, the wideout class is very strong.

And it's awesome that we appear to have a corner who can take on opposing team's #1s.

While disapointing this loss was not as bad as some of the naysayers are going to make it seem.

As I thought, our defense had some trouble against a run first offense when they couldn't play "amoeba" for as many snaps. But the defense made enough plays to keep us in the game.

The offense acutally looked good at the begining of the game and the game plan again seemed agressive. As someone else said, unfortunately losing Cribbs really hurts the ofensive game plan.

However and this is a big however, our rookie QB showed promise again when in the 2 minute offense, he droves this team against one of the best defenses in the NFL for the tying touchdown. And actually had the offense in position for the game winning field goal if Stuckey doens't get stripped, and I don't blame stuckey on that play, he's trying to get us those extra yards for FG position. Shit happens.

The Jets were lots of people's pre-season favorite to win the Super Bowl. We made them play 5 full quarters to beat us and our rookie took another step forward in my opinion.

I hate every single loss, but I can hate this loss a little less.

/agree 100% with you on that one alo. Hopefully this means they will have Haden start the rest of the year and put Wright in the nickle (as long as Brown is ok) Im so sick of Wright blowing coverage or missing tackles.

And this is most certainly not like normal. The Browns showed they can hang with yet another "top dog" in the NFL. Did it suck we lost? Yeah of course especially since we had the game won had it not been for stuckey's fumble, but those are the breaks. This team still played well against a great D and I couldn't be more proud. I cant wait for next Sunday when I'll be at the Jags game watching Cleveland beat up on Jacksonville. Go Browns.

The Jags beat a pretty good Houston team and are now 5-4 and in the playoff hunt again by beating a division rival..They have also beaten the Colts and are now 3-1in their division.. They will not lay down I promise you that. It will be another good battle.
