Default Billy Yates likely done for the year

That's too bad, given how well he was playing.

Now, it's time for Lauvao to step up. Having another rookie play well would make this draft class even more impressive.

I saw Lauvao playing yesterday, now I know why. Too bad for Yates, he was probably playing the best ball of his career these last couple of games.

Ouch that is a blow. Now Lauvao needs to step up and show his potential. Sucks that this happened were getting awfully thin on the line now.

Too bad, what's the injury? Looks like we got St. Clair back right in time and now we get get lauvao in the game for some experience.. I want Lauvoa to take that RG spot if not this year in next training camp.. I would love having 3 high draft picks anchoring that line.. (hopefully a 4th high pick (3rd or 4th rounder??) with a RT next draft).

Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita "could be a little while'' with knee injury, RG Billy Yates on IR with biceps

Published: Monday, November 15, 2010, 3:44 PM Updated: Monday, November 15, 2010, 4:04 PM

Chuck Crow / The Plain DealerBrowns linebacker Scott Fujita is expected to miss some significant time with an injured knee ligament.
CLEVELAND -- Browns linebacker Scott Fujita "could be a little while'' with an injured knee ligament lsuffered during Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Jets, coach Eric Mangini said.

Fujita injured the knee on a second-quarter play that resulted in a 27-yard pass interference call against Eric Wright. He walked off and was replaced by David Bowens.
In Fujita, the Browns not only lost one of their key leaders on defense, but also the player who receives the defensive calls in his headset. That chore went to Eric Barton after Fujita left the game and Mangini said he did a great job with it.
Barton said he talked to Fujita Sunday night and "he's as good as he can be, I guess. We're all hoping and praying he'll be alright.''
Mangini also said right guard Billy Yates suffered a biceps injury during the game and will be out for the season. He will be placed on injured reserve and will be replaced by rookie Shawn Lauvao.
He said he's "optimistic'' that Josh Cribbs (dislocated toes) and Sheldon Brown (neck, shoulder) will return to practice sometime this week.

We dodged a bullet with Brown and Cribbs. Fujita sucks but i think we can live through it with our LB
depth. CBs? Not so much!

I think they'll do BPA, but I think they'll lean defense and work on the offense in the other rounds.

Sonofabitch. Play a great game, lose half your starters.

Brown has a stinger if I am not mistaken, could be longer coming back than hoped. One of those day to day (to day) injuries that no one can predict.
