Even in a loss the browns are gaining respect from the "Experts." We moved up one spot in the latest ESPN power rankings in the tough OT loss to the Jets. NFL Power Rankings Week 11 - National Football League - ESPN 22 (23) Browns 3-6 Playoff contenders want to avoid Cleveland in the second half of the season. (Walker)

We're #14 in PFT's Power Rankings.

Alo, that's unreal. Can anyone recall someone putting a 3-6 team ahead of the following records? 6-3 (1) 5-4 (4) 4-5 (4) I know its just Florio's ranking, but on raw record he has us 9 spots ahead of where we truly rank. That's an endorsement for sure. |

Holy crap when did Florio become such a Cleveland Browns fan? I mean I believe in Mangini and now McCoy, but 14? wow....

It's simple, we're bringing it and playing good football against the best teams the NFL have to offer. We've beaten New Orleans AND New England and we almost beat the heralded Jets as well. We pushed them to the limit and really we're a costly fumble from having a 3-game winning streak. It's hard to ignore it when a team plays that well and I think the Browns deserve the attention especially given the dreadful season we had last year. Even with finishing the last season strong, I see this as an extension of that overall momentum.

Here's DraftDog's take: 22.* Cleveland Browns-(LW 25, 3-6)* After watching this team play the last few weeks, you would never guess that this team is 3-6.* The Beat the New Orleans Saints, the New England Patriots and almost beat the New York Jets in an exciting overtime game.* You have to give them a lot of credit and realize that this team is going to be very good next season.* One other important thing to mention is the play of their rookie quarterback Colt McCoy.* McCoy isn’t playing like a rookie any longer and is one of the better up and coming quarterbacks in the NFL.

I can't give you more rep at this time Ocon but I just wanted to say that Colt McCoy quote is money. It's by no means an exaggaration, it's pure unfiltered truth. Quote:

Agree Double E. In fact, since he threw for nearly 300 yards and a TD in his NFL debut against the Steelers, I'm not sure he's played like a rookie yet. It's darn near freaky how he's played well in 4 out of 4 games. Has Mangini made it official yet for this weekend?

Of course he hasn't. Not based on anything I've read, anyway. Colt's thrown, what? one... maybe two INT's in the four weeks he's played so far? What I love is his ability to make something out of nothing a lot of times. He's a fighter and he rarely dumps the ball off which is more than we could say for the recent QB's we've had behind center. No discredit to Seneca Wallace who I thought has played very well this season for us but Colt's the first QB behind Center who gives me that gunslinger mentality since well.... I don't want to mention the name since a lot of people like to give him a hard time but he was our FIRST round Draft Pick EVER... and before injuries slowed him down and the footsteps got to him, he was shaping up to be a damn fine QB himself. The difference, to me, is the poise and maturity that Colt shows. He acts like this is his destined role and he's giving it everything he's got.
