Great points all around Flug, I wasn't really trying to catch up more-so just commenting on the initial topics of the thread which was Robo with a dash of Evan Moore's playing time.

I agree 100% We need a legit #1 Wide Out and move MoMass to #2. I haven't given up on Robo, I think he could provide depth to our WR corps and I feel that MoMass has far more potential out of the two of them but he's not a legit #1... or even a band-aid #1 WR. And I don't feel in ANY way that Robo is as tragic as the Veikune disaster.

Stuckey has impressed me so much this year he has completely lost the "Suckey" moniker that I had bestowed upon him. He's one of the few WR's who have shown us that they can make plays when they catch the ball on this team. It's hard not to like that. I'm finally seeing why one of my buddies on Twitter was telling me that "Browns Fans should be really happy with Stuckey" now that he's had a full year in the system he's been playing really well and he should have a place on this team for a long time.

I'm not using, and I refuse to use Daboll as a scapegoat, though I feel that he will ultimately be the scapegoat of the season. There's always one when things to entirely go to our way. But he's called some good games and shown a real passion on the field and I can't knock that. With the limited personnel this team has on offense, I want to say he's making the most of it but that's not a statement I can justify either. I simply feel he's doing an OK job with probably one of the weakest offenses in the entire NFL.

Overall, great post Flugs. Hope you didn't think I was calling you out or anything

Thanks EE! I think we share the same perspectives. I just wanted to make sure people weren't seeing me as the one who was thinking Robo needs more chances than he's been given lately. The NFL audition process isn't always generous. Robiskie had a golden opportunity to convert a 3rd down pass play into a first down when a pass hit his hands while he was reasonably well covered. Somebody like Larry Fitzgerald has caught countless passes when he was reasonably well covered. Before him, Cris Carter was always making clutch catches in moments without seperation. As much as I want Robo to succeed, it shouldn't be at the expense of others who will do more with the same opportunity. When Stuckey gets in the games, he makes plays so he's changing quite a few opinions of him for the better. I know I'm stating the obvious here. However, our passing game needs people to step up so those that do deserve more playing time than those that don't.

I agree Dabs is NOT the whole problem.. I also agree he is hamstrung by the talent at wr he has.. A true #1 wr changes this offense immeasurably.. a #2 wr that can get open changes this offense immeasurably.. We cannot blame Dabs for that.. It absolutely affects the plays he calls. Anyone not seeing that is just a hater.. and I really don't like Dabs very much...but again... it's bigger than him.

I am not a big fan of Dabs, but it is MUCH bigger than him.. Holmgren has said publicly he does not like dabs Philosophy.. IMO that is a HUGE statement to come from the president and spells the end for Dabs at the end of the year. Your offensive philosophy has to be acceptable to Mike (who we all know is an offensive guy) or your gone.. it's pretty simple.

The thing is.. for next year..whether Dabs is here or a new guy.. One thing is certain..(mark it down) This WR corps is getting a makeover.. and I will stand firm in my belief.. We will see at LEAST 3 new faces make the final roster next year.. It may be even more than 3..

I think Momass and Cribbs are the only guys I see for sure being on this roster next year. People can cry about Stuckey..but he's hardly an elite talent. Just because he is the best of the worst means nothing. He is a 4-5 guy on any other roster. We have the worst receiveing corps in the league.. Yes..worst in the league.. We need to get better, not just tweeked.. OVERHAUL is the word I have in mind. I want to see at LEAST 2-3 veterans brought in... a rookie in round 1 or 2 and another rookie in round 3-5 to compete with our current group of guys..

Id like to see a WR or DE in round 1 and the other taken in round 2. I think (could be wrong ) this draft is DEEP in both. So maybe WR/DE/WR or DE/WR/WR. What do ya think?

Not to be nitpicky Sez, but I don't think that anyone here is calling Stuckey an elite talent. He's made some catches, got some first downs and shown that among our rag tag WR corps that he can catch the ball and GET first downs. That means he's shown more than MoMass, more than Robo, hell, even more than Cribbs this season. I agree completely that we need a new rookie, and we need a vet WR, in sum, I agree the WR corps needs an overhaul, but out of any WR I would bet that Stuckey could find a place on this team, even as a 4 or 5 guy as you said. I'm skeptical that MoMass or Robo would have as strong an opportunity on other NFL squads.
