Default Peyton Manning

Brees won the MVP, but this throw from Manning to Clark is easily the best I've ever seen in an game/footage/anything.

In the throw I'm talking about, the ball is snapped at 1:26 in the following video. It was on the run, and Peyton's 2nd throw after he had essentially sat and watched an hour of Super Bowl 44. Go ahead and count the number of Saints Jerseys in that right 1/3 of the field. 5. Half of the defense that was on the field was over there. Just sick.

Wondering when someone was going to bring that up.

That was a great throw. As for the one Porter picked, it looked like if he would have thrown it to Wayne's other shoulder then it wouldn't have been picked.

Yeah I don't have to see it either, I know exactly which play you speak of. Yeah that throw was sick. There is threading the needle, then there's threading an atom. Peyton did the former.

It was a shame a great guy like him had to lose, but I'm happy for the Saints.

That ball made it through a ridiculously small window. He also put so much touch on that ball that Clark could have caught it with his balls.

That was one of the best plays of the Superbowl.

Another play that stood out to me was that 20+ yard run that Joseph Addai had right out the bat. Caught Johnathan Vilma blitzing and he pretty much went around the safety like he was nothing for his longest rush of the entire season.

The Colts may have had an abysmal rushing attack and they definitely caught the Saints D off guard by starting out so rush heavy to begin the game.

I think that would've been a pick either way, though you may be right about Peyton's placement of the pass. That was a play that the Saints were looking for, and I think Porter especially seemed to be tipped off on it. That interception was really my favorite play of the whole game. The stadium went absolutely nuts.

That was a hell of a pass. Wish we had a QB that could do that.

I am unflinchingly biased toward Manning. He's one of the best of all time... no, I'm not channeling Kanye... and though that throw was imperfect, it's not all on him. It's on Porter and Wayne, too.

This loss is by no means all on him.

Also, grats Nahlins! I was pulling for them.

Yes, there is an apparent incongruity between pulling for Manning and rooting for the Saints, simply because I love Manning but find it impossible to dislike the Saints.
