Clearly you played defense in high school and your favorite team ever was the '85 Bears, right?

Yup. Great defense and running game, like the 2001 Ravens. Both teams basically fell of the map after that... and I don't think we're likely to see a team win that way again.

The pre-Favre Vikings and this year's Jets are basically the same teams.

I certainly would have taken one super bowl in either 86 or 87 verses what we have had since then...
Yes I understand and want this current team built for the long term but if were going to go down memory lane im cool with that.
For the record 86 and 87 weren't lost by Kosar ,in both cases it was the prevent defense that prevented us from the big game.

ABSO-fuckinglutely.....the bears 85 defense best ever! Lt's giants close second!
But if we go defense ...let's fucking go defense.... ya know? I',m of the opinion...If we have the chance to get those four guys....we would be stupid not to!

Gotcha. I didn't look at the mock, so that was my fault for not picking it up.

I do feel that Williams is the better talent, though, and is more versatile. I just wonder if Cody can end up being effective as a 3 down guy, and if his motivation is going to improve or not.

I thought this was an interesting mock. 2010 Mock Draft - DraftAce.com

7.

Eric Berry S
Tennessee Scouting Report

Some draftniks have Berry as high as No. 1 overall on their big board. But the NFL is a business and safeties will never be rated that high due to the money awarded top picks. He may be as close to a sure thing as you can get, but he's a prime candidate to fall on draft day. The Browns have a potential need at free safety due to the uncertain future of Brodney Pool who has suffered multiple concussions. If Berry is off the board, and the Browns can't trade down, Joe Haden would be the selection.
38.

Brandon Spikes
ILB Florida
Scouting Report - coming soon
Would start from day one with D'Qwell Jackson at inside linebacker.
