If you got to the mass mock draft links, Haden is slipping in quite a few to 14 and 15. Not all, but roughly half, I'd say.

I'll probably end up dead wrong, but I could see him falling to a more suitable CB spot (Hall, a popular reference point for Haden, went 15th).

I don't see many reasonable mocks dropping Haden out of the top ten. If that were to happen, San Francisco at #13 would have to be his floor.

This is where the draft hits a crossroad. I have no idea what the Browns are going to do here. Eric Mangini didn’t draft his own guy at quarterback last year in his first offseason and with new team president Mike Holmgren, there’s a chance they go that direction, but I doubt they’ll reach for Tim Tebow to do it, especially with how much Eric Mangini enjoyed drafting random positions last year. Plus, I don’t think we’ve seen enough of Brady Quinn to call him a bust yet. I think the Browns will either draft down or go best available, but the problem is, determining who I believe they will see as best available. This pick could very well be Derrick Morgan, but he’s not a good fit for the 3-4 defense, so I won’t mock him here unless I here something from Cleveland saying that the coaching staff believes him to have the ability to play rush linebacker. Rolando McClain makes sense and I’ve actually had him here at this spot before, but then again, 3-4 middle linebackers rarely go top 10. Even Patrick Willis slipped to #11. That leaves Dez Bryant and Joe Haden, a wide receiver and a cornerback. I’ll go with Florida CB Joe Haden for now because Mangini obviously enjoys less valuable positions like cornerback…or center, but don’t quote me on this one just yet.

You may not like CBs but he's not falling into the teens, barring disaster.

Revis and Hall were the elite CBs in their draft... and they went 14 and 15.

Here's the best you're going to get as far as arguing against Haden at #7. The positional argument's fundamentally unsound, but this might have a little bit of truth to it:

If he measures in under 5'10" and/or has short arms, I'll be a bit concerned. But his '09 film is pristine, which is what prompted Mel Kiper to write this:

It's hard to see what could cause Haden to slide down to 15 or so, though I bet Mike Singletary's hoping he's there at #13.

Even if the Browns pass on him for Bradford, Bryant, or whoever, I have a hard time seeing Haden falling out of the top ten. Draft analysts like Chad Reuter think he could even be off the board when the Browns are set to pick at #7.

The guy that professes that the NFL has become a passing league should realize that the CB position has become an elete position. That being said QBs make WRs and WR is not one of those Elite postions like QB, OL, pass rusher and CB.

Besides, priority positions are system based in a lot of cases.
