Default The Mangini era is over

From a effort point, we weren't doing to bad before hand, but the team wasn't winning. Colt comes in and takes heady shots vs. the Steelers gains the teams respect and it fires them up to overcome their weaknesses.

They blow up the Patriots and then are on the verge of beating the Jets. Then Stuckey fumbles the ball. Then the injuries pile up and they blow the game vs. the Jags. Now it looks like they have quit with Colt hurt and several others.

Mangini must be pissed because he was close to consolidating power. Amazing collapse due to the Stuckey fumble IMO. Football is such a emotional sport. If only Butch Davis had beaten the Eagles...............

At least no adjust Deboll will be history lol.

So...

Do ya'll think Shanahan is setting up for his son to take over as HC?

Yes, he's working on grooming the NFL's version of WWE stable "Legacy" with Kyle Shanahan as HC, Brian Schottenheimer as OC and Rob Ryan at DC.

Ugly and lucky win.. Delhomee was lucky not to have 4 picks today.. Colt already makes better decisions than Jake.. Good backup..good guy to groom QB's..but not a starter anymore.. I was willing to give him another chance when healthy.. He made some amazingly accurate passes..but horrible decisions.. We were lucky to win this one. As for Mangini.. HUH? I see no problems with Mangini.. Dabs calling a sneak on 3rd and 1/2 a yard.. yeah.. I have a big problem with that.. Hillis.. That call nearly cost us the game. He's trying to be cute when we could just pound the ball for a first down with Hillis.. Stupid stupid stupid.

Yah I gotta agree with most of what you said, but especially this. When they ran that play I was like WTF? I understand what they were trying to do there ...but you're right, too cute.

My favorite Mangini moment came after the 'win' when he looks to about pass out after the field goal miss. Reminds me of Romeo when he got the game winning field goal in the Buffalo game. The guy is on pins and needes while his resignation papers get ready.

Anybody that thinks Mangini should be fired is just plain nuts. He is the first coach we have had that is building a solid foundation for years to come. It would be a major mistake to fire him. How there is even talk of it baffles me.

My stepfather says that theres no way Mangini stays for next year.

I dont necessarily agree, we don't have any real talent yet, and I don't think its a good Idea to change systems YET AGAIN

His logic comes down to wins and losses and how our team plays at the end of games, we almost always give it up, he said that if we lost today, Mangini would probably have been gone tomorrow

Like I said, I dont agree, but this shit is ridiculous, I don't care what the final score said today, we lost that game, that field goal is made 7/10 times, we got lucky

Im not sure anymore if Mangini is the guy, but I dont want to change systems AGAIN!!! We have no consistency in our organization...

but then again, what if Gruden comes out..... He loves the shit out of Mccoy
