Default Nice to be back among the living

Just when they think they can start shoveling the dirt on you......................you jump out of the hole and flash them the moon and say, fuck off, I'm not done yet.

I think that goes for me as well as the Browns.

I've been able to follow the site off and on a bit while trying to recoup from surgery. Strange that I go to rehab on Mondays a bit pissed off. The pain moves from my back to my ass when I think about Daboll.

I did get to see all the games. Some while heavily medicated, but that was good, I think. What a man on the outside looking in saw:

A nice looking young QB, a bit raw, but displaying a poise and maturity beyond his years. Sad that Daboll didn't trust him enough to open up the offense with him under center until they had to late in the 4th quarter. And the kid showed he could be a productive leader and a solid NFL QB of the future. But why wouldn't they let him go downfield against the Jags, especially after the turnovers? That's some messed up play calling in my book.

Is it just me or does anyone else think we are riding our horse until he drops? Guess who the Fins will be keying on this week?

Is Womack that good? How can you account for the performance by the line from the New England game to the Jags game? Is St Clair that bad?

I got to say this about Delhomme; he may be past his prime but you got to love his "Mr. checkdown" quote. Honestly, any QB that doesn't throw a pick is either extremely lucky or afraid to throw the ball into tight windows or to WRs downfield. I know there is a big difference in throwing ducks into coverage and throwing bullets into a tight window but I do want to see this team stop treating McCoy with "kid gloves" and let him play the first quarter like he plays the final 2 minutes. Let the kid air it out some and get his WRs involved. Maybe then Hillis won't be such a marked man. There's something to be said about effective play action passes.

God, I miss that Shemp isn't here to take his beating about that wasted 3rd round pick on the little freckled faced kid with a rag arm, who wasn't NFL ready.

Just want to add that it isn't rocket science figuring out why we suck coming home in the fourth quarter with a lead. This may surprise Mangini but I figured it out.................................our DBs can't tackle worth shit. Come the 4th Qtr teams go 3 and 4 wide and we go into a nickle or dime coverage and have to bring in additional DBs. Ray Ventrone............give me a fuckin break. He couldn't cover me and that's after my 5 level spinal fusion. And, Wright couldn't tackle me. Why do our DBs think they can grab at a guy or throw a roll block at them and they will fall down. anybody back there ever learned to "wrap the fuckers up", especially before you try to strip the ball. Thank God for someone smart enough to realize our DBs sucked and spent some wise draft picks on DBs. Oh, I forgot, Haden was a bad pick. God, I miss Shemp (stupid is as stupid says).

Why all the hate for Jake. At least we aren't punting or going 3 and out. If he doesn't take us for a score he gives one for the other team but then Cribbs gets on the field. There's a positive to everything. He can drive us for 2 TDs and he gives up one..........that's a plus..............sort of. Favre says it's okay.

Great to be back.............go Browns (and give Delhomme a break).

Not just fueling the post but I got to keep extra vicodins on hand to get through the games.

BTW, graduated from the Percosets to Vicodins (Is that really a graduation or just changing schools). Before you know it I'll be back to Bud Lites.

Glad to be back, thanks all.

I was wondering where you went Ytown, good to hear you are still alive and kicking! Good to have you back! Remember - mixing vicodins and Bud Light is only reccomended after a tough loss but hopefully you don't have to resort to that.

God bless ya! That's a classic opening above! Really good to see you posting again Ytown! Keep up the good work with your post surgery rehab/physical therapy. Speaking of health, I can't wait for McCoy to get freakin healed - we need him. Same with Fujita.

Thanks for the nice words Tom. I have been popping in and out to see what was going on but didn't really feel good enough to sit and post.

I with you 100% on McCoy and Fujita. I want to see McCoy back and for them to expand on his game plan. I want to see him run some "no huddle" like Delhomme did last week. Let him throw the ball downfield to a WR.

At the beginning of the year I thought that Robaire Smith was going to be important to this team that was thin at DE. He's very underrated IMO. I also loved how Fujita was playing and calling the coverages and blitzes. He also is very underrated as a cover OLB. I think Barton has really been exposed since Fujita went down.

We really need to develop some depth.

Glad to see your surgery went well and your on the mend.

Things have been noticeably more congenial in here since the departure of some individuals who shall

remain nameless.

I'm sure you'll notice it and I'm sure you'll like it.

Welcome back.

Y-town.. nice post.. I see your poison pen is still as sharp as ever! ha ha ha. I am so glad you're through the surgery and on to recovery. I think your pretty spot on with your post.. As for Hillis.. gotta feed him and feed him well.. He's our best weapon.. We went away from him and Vickers in the 2nd half last week and nearly cost us the game. I also am a bit bummed we cannot rag on Shemp for how good McCoy has been with his freckles and raggedy arm.. But trust me.. It's been really good without him. The drama has been little to none.. and that's refreshing. We still have our disagreements.. but it's no longer focused on one topic (qb) in 10 different posts..
