DA was gone..they held on to him until the financial hit was minimized due to some nfl timeline..but he was gone no matter what.. the fans would have torn down the stadium if they kept him.

It was probably the biggest reason they gave him when they sat him down to tell him he was shit canned. A humane move by Mr. Holmgren as to not completely obliterate his already shattered confidence....

That is pathetic, thank God we don't suffer week to week with big foot anymore. The sad thing is there were people defending his abysmal games like that in Cleveland saying we didn't have the talent for DA to throw to, he has some of the best now but his numbers are still horrible.

He was out no matter what, but there was no hesitance thanks to the cap number.
