I'm elated that Haden's looked so good because 1) it's great for the team, and 2) I'd look like a complete idiot for pimping him if he ended up being the Brady Quinn of cornerbacks.

How the hell is TJ Ward not in the top 10?!?!? He has the most tackles amongst rookies, 2 interceptions, 7 passes defended, 1 forced fumble, (cant find his TFL's)

TJ has 3 TFL's according to Advanced NFL Stats Player Statistics

I will always harbor ill will for Joe Haden because he ran a 4.57 at the combine, and I am too hung up on combine numbers and mock drafts from years ago to get over my bias.

Haden also has 15 passes defensed according to that site. The league leader has 17. Haden's passes defensed stat will start going down now.... as teams quit throwing his way. He's really on fire.

since I pimped Haden before the draft also, I love what he has done. As far as Ward, he started great and has been solid. Nice run support but he his performance has sort of leveled out and he has shown to be vulnerable in pass coverage. I still believe he is head ans shoulders above Elam and will continue to grow but he may have hit the rookie wall while Haden has sort of busted through the wall.

Not to seem like I'm dissing Ward because I love that the pick worked out and I love some of what he has done. Just seems that what the NFL has done about big hits has made his play a bit cautious. I think he will be a guy that continues to grow as a player and will only get better.

But................rookie of the year votes? Not at that level in my book.
