ESPN Monday Night Football analyst
Jon Gruden said Thursday that he is not interested in pursuing a coaching job for next season.
"I'm committed to ESPN, there's not a lot to add," Gruden said on a conference call, via the
Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I'm eager to get better at it, and there's been a lot of speculation the last few days, and for that, I'm sorry."
Gruden has been linked to the vacant head-coaching position at the University of Miami. He said earlier in the week that he was committed to Monday Night Football, but speculation has lingered about a potential flirtation with Miami or perhaps an NFL team.
ESPN executive
Norby Williamson said he doesn't expect to lose Gruden as one of his top NFL analysts.
"I thought it'd be a good idea to clarify and reiterate his commitment to ESPN and Monday Night Football," Williamson said. "He has made a commitment to us, and won't be having any conversations to entertain a college or pro offer through the 2011 season."

Meh, I will guarantee he has provisions to be able to leave if he chooses.
